You're probably right. I've wasted so many gems on equipment. Btw, you're more likely to get bows when buying as the elf right?
I feel like people should upgrade their castle and units first then focus on equips. The gems spent upgrading units and stuff is guaranteed while the equips are not.
I dont think the character affects the quality of the draw. Except for armors since those are class specific. Would be cool if the skill points assignment affects the draw types thoguh... Like for example the better your Sword mastery skill the higher chance you get a sword while this character is the current active character.
Yup. When i first started in beta i was pouring crystals into weapon crafting. After i got a decent 2-handed sword i focused on upgrading units and the castle and the struggle became smoother and smoother the more points i put into the units and the castle.
Do you think FM should add the ability to choose ur weapon type when crafting new weapon. I'm this close to murder the blacksmith. I want magic staffs but all he give me is scythes and sword
Yeah in the beta I first just spammed the blacksmith and got destroyed in later rounds. Now after just focusing more on troops and castle everything is easy peezy. All that's left is to farm for some more legendary equips and runes.
Took me less than 6 hours yeasterday to get to Wave21 from scratch, but i had to overwrite the savefile when i discovered a way to salvage mybeta save.
Someone more experienced, please give me some tips! I've been hoarding gems and I don't know what to spend it on and I've been fairly lucky with my random loot so I don't need anything for my paladin just right yet. Besides tower and crystal what's worth upgrading? Thank you!
@FM There is a serious bug that's need fix. I was selling unwanted items like weapon shield and etc. the game crashes right after I sell the item. After I go back into the game again,I notice my character does not have a weapon and it prompt me that I need to equip a weapon. As I was trying to re-equip my weapon I notice that the game decide to sell my character main weapon instead of the junk I was trying to sell. I got puzzled and decided to sell the item again, next it happen again but this time it sell the weapon my other hero equip. So basically the bug screw me so bad now that I am left with no weapon. This is just game breaking and no way I can continue like this.
I was playing around with the beta save, even selling everything that isnt equipped, and when i tried buying some weapons the game froze for about a minute and when it resumed it prompted me that one of my characters needed a weapon, so i gave the elf a common bow. After that i was able to access the heroes tab fine.
Can you tell me which units you've found most useful as you progress? I understand its strategic but is there a unit that you've found useful in most situations?
Have you spent a few on weapons already? You need a better starting weapon at least to be able to clear the inital easier minions. Then i suggest levelling up a few select units to level 3 at least, depending on which ones you think are most useful. Back in beta i initially levelled up the militia/peasants to level 5 right away, followed by getting pikemen to level3, and even that strategy worked fine for me. I suggest you pick either militia men or shield knights, then pikemen. The difference between militia men and shield knights is that militia men are walls that keep the closest enemies occupied, while the shield knights prioritize getting the attention of ranged units. The pikemen are there to cleanup and dish out the damage once the enemy units are occupied by your fodder crew. From there, you can level up the walls a few times, then the crystal, until you unlock the Captain. After getting out your first 2 bannermen at the start of each stage, try summoning one captain followed by your fodder crew. They suddenly become your wrecking crew if your Captain gets a few kills for himself which buffs your units upon killing enemies. These are what i do as my startign strategy, which should be effective until about wave15-17 where you get to level more powerful units up like the elven archers. This is not the only route, but this was my personal route i took to get me to wave 21 last night. As for character growth, if you like to stick to the knight for your first class, just get one level into the first active skill, then pump up the attack skill, while prioritizing the invulnerability skill when it becomes available.
Early waves: Shield knights or militia into pikemen or elf warriors Mid waves: captain into shield knights Later waves: elven archers, elven archers, elven archers with graybeards on the wall, with adjusting ground troops based on what enemies are coming. Wave 30 is the only wave i use 2 ice mages, 3 graybeards, rounded up by elven archers on the wall, with 3 pathfinders and the rest are fire mages on the ground. My favorite units are captains and elf archers.
Well, so far I am loving this game. Currently a level 15 Knight with a common C-bow (AMAZING Armor Pierce %, by the way. My c-bow has like 80% armor pierce, which really shreds the armored guys), and at wave 11. I've been doing the Captains + Wood Elf Warrior strategy since I got both unlocked. And, haha, holy cheese, they just wreck and are invincible. Unfortunately, on all the blacksmith rolls I had (About 7 at this point), I've gotten nothing better than common, except for a shield... Which, knowing me and Bloodborne, I just always dodge attacks. It just feels so fun doing that. Anyone have any advice for me at this point? Currently level 5 crystal, level 3 walls, and level 5 Captains and Wood Elf Warriors.
The captain is so useful! I didn't get him til wave 14, but he's still a beast. But still no rare bow for my ranger elf...maybe I should switch to dual wield...
