They are? Where? Supporting a game engine is way out of what a 4 man team can handle... There's support, constant updates, documentation, legal issues and about 1000 things where stuff can go wrong. Plus there's fierce competition out there (Unity 3D, Unreal).
Phew almost called in sick today..., tomorrow is the day Beta testers, is our saves working?! Or Do we get pleasure of replaying this from scratch? Either way I'm happy.

I'm only buying this to support some great developers. The game's not even released (everywhere) but they're posting here already. Dedicated to their labor of love. I never got into the original, so i have my doubts with this one of course. Defense games are simply not my thing. Good luck FM!
What im most looking forward to in this release (after playing beta) is the MFi support. That means... Widescreen TV bastiches!

Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel You control one character in this game and you defend your castle by beating up enemies and by spawning units that fight alongside you. There's also systems taken from RPGs, such as leveling, assigning skills and equiping items.
It has RPG elements such as leveling up, equipping equipment (weapons, armor, shields, runes), lots of stats, classes with skill trees, etc. In battle you control your hero in 3rd person and defend your castle while also summoning units to fight beside you. You can upgrade your castle, units and towers in between waves. Best way to think of it is like a classic lane defense strategy game, only in full 3d, and where you control a hero as well
Just wanna report that I have experienced multiple crashes. After three or four battles, the game crashed. I have try restart my iPad but it didn't help. Lucky for me, the game still save so I didn't lost my progress. I play on iPad 4 running the latest iOS
I played it 50-60 hours over 30 days and it did that to me when I ran the graphics too high. otherwise it ran great.
Can't wait to rock the high score list. Hoping for an awesome co-op mode. The first game was my greatest iOS experience so far. Put way too many hours into it
