With a good ranged weapon (I love the repeaters) and extra mobility, the dwarf can be a beast. I haven't found ANY melee characters that can survive as well. You're right, though, I think my 80th level dwarf took absolutely zero points from berserker.

Elf and Human can both do quite well with melee, especially Elf since grandmaster can be so devastating combined with mobility and dodge from Ranger and the slowing/healing field from Druid. Human is good because his CC with Retribution and infinite survivability with Juggernaut and infinite mana pool from Arcane Magic and Mana Marker. Generally ranged is better on both though for when things get chaotic later in the wave.

So I have a dwarf, and he has all legendary stuff, but thing I hate about is that he so hard to play in the beginning. He is sooooo slow and his attacks are fairly weak at this point. I am sure I can get him up. Also I think the skill where you have to be 1 hp to get a damage boost in the berserker tree is useless. Since when do you ever try to play within that close of death and how do you get it exactly at 1 HP!! What do you guys think?

I know that poison slows you down. I like your suggestions. They seem legit and right, I am surprised no one thought about that. I really hope Foursaken media did not stop with this game. It has been great playing it but it is getting boring for me with nothing interesting to do. The map is starting to ramp up a bit and I would hate to battle something that I would lose. They through all sort of high hp dudes and I rarely make it out alive. It is usually my catapults that saved me. I have been waiting for their reply on this forum, but I guess they are done with this game sadly. I missed the heated discussion over the summer!

the small rocks that you cant run over and also somehow block ranged attacks need to be removed as well!

You are right! But i guess that is where you choose the right characters to fit the environment of enemies and the land itself.

Thats true, i totally forgot about the campaign! Once you max out your levels the only real end game stuff to do is arena mode and endless (preferrably coop). Which is why I suggested having coop siege, coop arena mode or anything else other than the single option we have right now.

    playing on PC

I tested HAC on PC using various x86 android OS builds. Andy (Andyroid) emulator is the only one I've found that HAC works in, and it works quite well especially after you setup the custom keymapping to play with a keyboard. Setting the resolution to ultra wide (21:9) also helps a ton with visibility, which is pretty poor when played on a tablet or phone since theres no way to zoom out. I attached a few photos so you can see what i mean, both are from the exact same spot in game. The first is ipad aspect ratio 4:3 and the other is ultrawide 21:9. The ones I tested that did not work are: RemixOS, Android-x86 and Bluestacks.

I haven't played this game in half a year, just re-installed it. I downloaded my save data but forgot some of the game mechanics. It seems I'm on "wave 12" at the castle I'm at right now, but my current character is only level 3 (I guess I started a new one). All the locations I can travel to have very high level enemies because the difficulty level are all 6-8/20, and I do 1 dmg to them and they kill my character in one hit. How do I level up a new character when there are no low level places to go? Is arena the only way to level them up? It's tediously slow and the even arena is too hard for my low level characters because enemies literally 3-hit KO my character.

Would you mind telling me what hero you have? The best way to fix this is replaying old levels that seem right below your level but not too below. Go to the scribe and then tap history. This should give you enough xp to level up. It may seem like grinding but sooner or later you will get somewhere. Also do them on normal, b/c you get more xp and you contribute to your progress in achievements. When you complete some achievements DONT spend them on your hero, but spend them on your units! Until you have a stable unit army, you are not going anywhere in the later levels. The stronger units you have the easier time you will crush wave 12. And the more you grind the more hp you have. It seems like you have an elf. Try focusing on items that boost hp so your hero can take more hits. Hope this helps! If you have anymore questions ask away!

Hmm, anyways I don't get anyone to play with online since it is dead online (no one plays on it). But I am not sure. Did you try emailing them?

usually when I do online games it's with friends I make a custom game with. They haven't responded to my last 4 or 5 emails so I doubt they care to support this game anymore. And it sounds like the team got cut in half based on the last message they left here.

I agree with you. They definitely are no longer checking this thread on this game my last post was November 30th, the month of their last post. I feel terrible that they no longer have this game on their minds. By the sounds of it, it may have been their last game. But they might create a new one. I am not sure since they said they all parted their own ways and if they are not replying to your emails I am pretty sure they are done with this game or they are ignoring it. Oh well, good games do have to come to an end. Lets hope for a way cooler games to show up soon! :D (sigh)

They have another game coming this year called All is Lost: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXi978pbFv0

Looks interesting but probably not something I'm going to play. I just wish there was more coop games with some depth to them like HAC. There's just not too many options right now for good comp stomp multiplayer.

  17. The bros are doing just fine.. You guys know they are four brothers, right? If you follow them on Twitter, that is right, All is Lost is out next week. They also gave the ;) to another Block Fortress, which is super exciting. Love to have a Block Fortress II with ability to play other races, etc. who knows what.. They always are working on multiple games, multiple projects, etc. all at once.. This game is very much feature-complete, though, so they are done unless there is some huge game breaking bugs.

That sounds like a bugged profile... I wonder if your Cloud data didn't get corrupted or something weird like that. The only time you would ever do 1 damage is if you were attacking magic enemies that are resistant to physical attacks. And there is no way you should be getting one shot that early... the game was balanced so that you wouldn't ever have to grind at all - all of my testing profiles ran straight through the game, no IAPs, no grinding.

Since its still relatively early in the game, I'd suggest maybe starting a completely fresh game >_< Alternatively you can email us and we can get you sorted out with a code to get your progress back up to snuff. You'd just have to explain the situation again in the email.

Sorry that your emails must have slipped through! We usually respond to almost all emails we get, so I'm not sure if we just missed yours, or they're getting flagged as spam, or what... Did you email us about multiplayer issues?

A word on multiplayer... this is something that has been tough for us to track down. I know there are a few sync errors remaining, but we cannot seem to find them during our testing, and without specifics on how to reproduce, its really just a crap shoot. Even though we already do a TON of testing, the reason we cant invest more resources on this is bc the multiplayer numbers are just so low... the cold reality is that not a lot of people seem to play real time multiplayer on mobile... and when you've got a paid game with a fraction of the users that a free game has, you can understand why multiplayer is "dead." The only time we have a popping multiplayer community is when a game is just launched and we have a high volume of new users all playing at the same time.

We are checking the thread periodically. We are actually discussing the feasibility of another content update. I think we'll definitely fix up some minor bugs introduced with iOS 9 (controller issues, some local multiplayer issues, some game bugs, etc), and we're looking at introducing a "game +" mode for our more hardcore players.

A side note on updates though... we do definitely feel like HC2 as it stands is a totally complete game for $1.99. I understand it would be awesome if we could keep adding content indefinitely (trust me, I wish we could!), but as a small indie studio, we just can't afford to do that... especially when you consider that people want us to keep updating all of our games... we'd never be able to make new ones, and we'd pretty quickly go out of business.

Well it is great to see you guys are on still! I am still a big fan! I agree the game is almost done! But one last thing before you maybe stop this game, is it possible you could add a level where you could fight a dragon boss or something instead of the Noter Kah as he was not a big problem at all. The dragon could like fly and he could land on different positions and attack. And until you kill the dragon monsters keep showing up. That would be interesting and you could also make the map large so the the player could summon a large army with out the game crashing! Or we could have new troops that fly and enemy troops also that could fly! Does anyone like this idea? Just to add some spice! But if you cant I am still with you about it!
