You unlock the obelisk missions after beating all waves. Personally those are my favorite missions and I wish there was a way to replay them.
Obelisks Yeah, I saw a video on one of them and it seems so awesome. This game has so much in it I can't believe it is not top grossing. I can't wait to beat the levels. I do everything on easy, because I get easily stressed and lose hope. But I am planning on doing everything on easy first to get the gist of every level and then doing them on normal. By the way how do you defeat wraiths with a knight, because all I do is do one damage. I am wondering if there is a magic skill for him in the mage's skill tree. I am planning on doing the arena with my juggenut, which helps like heck and I keep encountering wraiths and it would seem ludicrous to keep hacking away for minutes until they are dead. Thanks guys.
That's where your units come in. Use elven archers and warriors coz they deal magic damae, while you focus on the ones you can take on.
With most of the ranged hero builds I have, throwing a unit or two of Footmen out right away (after first bannerman) usually keeps the mobs busy while I gun them down. My Mage has disgusting staff damage, and one-shots 90% of enemy types. So you just need to get your cannon fodder in front of the mobs long enough to pour on the damage. Sidenote for anybody doing ranged: go for the *lowest* damage bow/xbow/staff/gun you can find, with the highest +% attack speed. It's MUCH easier and better to get +damage on shield, armor, and rune than it is to get it on a weapon. It also has the additional benefit of making all those "on-hit" or "chance to" skills trigger more often and more reliably. re: Towers, I like having two ballistae, one cannon and one lightning. Mine are only rank 2-3 though because it isn't a very efficient use of crystals until you've maxxed or almost maxxed your units, and have all legendary gear.
Yeah you might be right about that. I don't spend much crystals on weapons, and I mainly focus on units.
Wave 32 Hello, right now I am stuck on wave 32. I tried it and it is super hard. I read through almost all of this thread, and I know we use to wizards and mage's research along with general's rally. The problem comes when I spend too much time trying to kill the three hammer orcs in the beginning. I use elven healers and captains. I was able to hold off with a bunch of wizards and a paladin and shield knights until a large wave of orcs smashed into my walls and tore it down. I kept battling, but they stormed into castle and destroyed my castle. Any suggestions. Should I level up my knight and start pouring my gems into his weapons. Should I use gems on my wizards to elven healers. I even put this level on easy! I am planning on grinding xp for my knight so I can get the taunt.
I also got the juggenut which really helps. Do you know what skills are worth investing in for the knight?

The obelisks are soooo easy. All I did was spawn a knight and a pally and then I used all dreadnoughts to take out the tower!
Okay, I just discovered a tactic I did not know Ive seen... its subtle but I've found it helping. Instead of just spawning a bunch of elven snipers, for ex, you spawn spawn one, then wait a second, spawn the next... that way, you dont have multiple high damage guys shooting at one enemy and wasting an attack... same thing with spawning multiple land troops, etc.
You know what! I think you maybe right. I never actually thought of that. It is helpful. I remember how I use to just summon all of them at the same time, but it was a waste for the first 10-15 seconds, b/c they attacked the same guy. Thanks a lot!
Endless Does anybody have a strategy for endless? I make it to six minutes but then my walls keep falling down! And the trolls keep coming early! Thanks!
Scarwood keep was a bit anticlimactic. You just need cats and some knights and a paly. Works like a charm. Of course I was using a level 50 Knight. I just realized how awesome the knight conserves mana.
Yeah, Scarwood is definitely meh. I wish it randomized or SOMETHING so that each attack on the castle was different or... I don't know. Just wish it was more charging the gates of Mordor, you know? Fired this game up ALOT the last couple of days. Just got bamboozled on a defend mission. I've "beaten" the game, but not 100% completion, so keeping at it. Still think a Heroes & Castles Quest would be a blast, a Foursaken RPG like Bug Heroes: Quest... BH:Q is amazing. Totally underrated.
I understand this, but they are basically making sure nobody can play Dwarf melee because of how inefficient they are at getting around the battlefield. At around 30-40 min on Endless you need to have that mobility to get anything done. You can't sprint anywhere or else you'll have zero endurance by the time you get to enemies you want to kill. You are forced into sitting at the castle and using a ranged weapon. If this is how its going to be they need to rework the skills in the Berserker tree because currently Engineer and Runesmith are the only viable ways to build.
Since Foursaken hasn't responded to the last 4 emails I sent them since Sept 2015 and hasn't updated the game since October, I have a feeling we won't be getting anymore updates. Here's the majority of what I tried to find out through emails to them: Questions: 1. Is there a hard cap on bonus mobility? It seems like each race caps out once the cap of Stamina Regen is reached. 2. Does poison have any other effect other than damage over time? Bugs: 1. When playing elf, sometimes during endless coop attack button gets stuck after 10-20 min and attacks non-stop with no way to stop attacking, severely limiting mobility and stamina. This has happened both on touchscreen and shield controller, usually after spamming buttons. 2. Still getting game sync errors after about 15-40 min in coop 3. On iOS enemies on the inside of walls are unable to be damaged after walls are repaired? -friend on iOS 4. Unable to play coop multiplayer locally between iOS (iPad) and Android (Oneplus phone or Shield Tablet) 5. The Coop > Global > Custom button is not able to be selected on controller (I'm guessing because it was added recently), and must be clicked with a mouse or touchscreen. 6. (less important) Crashes to desktop after splash screen on Android X86 (RemixOS 2.0) Suggestions: 1. Increase dwarf mobility and/or stamina. It feels impossible to play him melee because he's so slow and has no stamina by the time he gets to anything. 2. Coop siege mode, maybe something like the final castle, possibly harder. Coop Arena mode would also be a lot of fun! 3. Nvidia Shield TV (Android TV) support
