Universal Heroes and Castles 2 (by Foursaken Media)

    Just played level 47 on iPad Pro, game ran well and graphics looked good.

    Only that I have to move back a little since the screen is much bigger now.

    Yah, got several instances of this bug with previous iPad Air 2. Twice I just quitted thinking it's random.

    Once I selected a different hero and the bug didn't happen in the same outfield post, otherwise it kept recurring for the same outfield post mission.

    Another 2 to 3 instances, I bought units to just beat up the units and eventually after waiting a while the game said I have cleared the missions.

    I still can't get enough of TO BATTLE *battlehorn* to this day... then the carnage that ensues. There's so much acquire, still argh. I am really enjoying my legendary blunderbuss with a dwarf engineer with long range... it's crippling of foes, plus a 20 or 25% crit makes it brutal. I wish I could mix some of the abilities, like a generic robot class maybe? Where you can combine different abilities from different races......

    You know what else is brutal?

    The SILENCE OF FOURSAKEN MEDIA argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a "they're coming... don't worry ;)" on twitter, a birthday plea for a hint that went unanswered... they must be up to something truly epic...

    OR ELSE.

    Someone in the Carolina's/East Coast send a search party, make sure they are okay.

    Heh... unfortunately its just been a slow year due to a variety of stuff happening with some of the bros (kids, some travel, canceled a game mid way through that just wasn't cutting it, and some other stuff) :p At this point I think we'll have 2 games launch early next year.

    Everyone go buy some IAP to support whichever bro had a kid; diapers, wipes, etc. is expensive :D

    I just bought the game and immediately splurged on some crystal packs to help out what MAY BE my favorite developer.

    Separately, even though I played the !@#out of H&C1, I seem to completely suck at H&C2. Anybody have a mini guide or a tip sheet or something? Maybe a short list of units and upgrades I should avoid...?

    (Oh, and if you read this, thanks, Foursaken, for the fantastic game!)

    It's all about strategy, more so than H&C1. Every enemy has a direct counter, so make sure you use it. In the earlier levels you will often unlock the counter just before the battle eg wood elves to fight ghouls.

    I'm getting better at unit counters. The biggest problem I'm having is knowing which units to spend my crystals on, and which character classes / skills to focus on initially.

    Crystals are crazy scarce in this game, even even though I've thrown a fistful of dollars at the IAP, I still feel like all my gear, units, and towers are underpowered.

    (Also, I've started reading through this thread, but holy jayzus is it a long read!)

    Hey I am new to this game but I love this game already. I have level 20 knight and been breezing by all the levels. But going back to what you said, I think the Paladin and Knight makes an OP team. You should level them up. One thing is that the paladin gets stronger each undead kill which is AWESOME! And he also heals troops around. The Knight (the guy on the horse) is another extreme OP character. It is super fast and does a lot of damage. I have been using those two alot. I also seem to use shield knights a lot too, because they are almost hard to kill. I have been doing local versus battles with my brother and I crushed him (he just started and only has wood elves as his best). He used six shield Knights against my one horse dude or Knigt. FUNNIEST BATTLE EVER! My Knight passed right through them and killed them. My brother was defenseless. It took two shots to kill my brother's main character. And no damage was done to my horsey. Trust you will love the KNIGHT later on when you are in the middle waves. :D

    Also Forsaken Media, I love your games. I am right now learning the basics of programming and trying to create simple games. Your games astonish me and are superb game quality for IOS. But one thing: I have been playing and found one bug:

    The Bug is that sometimes when my paladin whacks a skeleton dude, the the skeleton guy is pushed away into an area where none of my units can hit him. It is usually near the castle to the left when coming out of the castle. My units sense him and are hitting him, but it goes right through it. I had this problem at least two times. But it is not so bad. Only problem is that if you are winning a hard battle, and a stupid skeleton ruins the battle. Not your fault though. Sometimes there are so many glitches in a game that won't show up until another person plays it. It is so funny when I created my own game, it went so smoothly. But when my friends tried it out, my game started breeding all sorts of glitches. It doesn't not really matter though, cuz I use Scratch which is a really basic program for nubies. But I can't really compare to you guys, because you do a heck of a lot better than I will ever do. I just want to say, that you guys made IPAD playing so much awesomer. I don't know why everyone complains about the controls. Maybe I purchased the game a bit too late? Also I wonder why this game in not on the TOP GROSSING LIST? This has to be at least better than Clash of Clans. No?

    I'm with you, hopefully they continue development on H&C2! Been having a bunch of fun playing with a few friends despite having de-sync issues with multiplayer.

    Yes finally someone responded after a couple of weeks. I wished I was in the heat of the forum, but I guess I missed out most of the discussion over May and Summer. I really would like some new levels or even more troops or enemies to make the game interesting. I tried playing multiplayer online, but no one is ever on. So all I do is play with my brother on local server and usually I have to persuade him to play, since his troops all suck and I just keeping throwing rhinos at him and spamming shield knights LOL. After he found out that I kept getting crystals for winning he said I had to surrender the next game I had to play with him. And so we keep trading off like this. But I totally recommend playing with a sibling or a friend at your own house, since you will get pretty much no lag. By the way, what wave are you on?;)

    I'd be down to play with you sometime. Co-op or vs, I'm up for anything. I've done the same, sat in matchmaking for hours with nobody joining, so i usually just do custom games with a few friends of mine.

    Yes please! 10 level cap increase would be so nice :) And increased dwarf movement speed, its absurdly slow even with 78% mobility!

    Yeah, THIS very much. Even in the current patch Dwarves are pretty crappy. If their mobility is going to stay reduced--and I do like the racial variation--then their strength, damage, and stamina need a (much more) significant boost to compensate.

    Also, does anybody feel like ranged weapons are generally superior to melee? My Human Mage-a-din with his super fast wand is a 300 dps long range machine gun with a disgusting range of spells to back him up. My Elf bowman is a crit-dishing dead-eye who doesn't even need his retinue. And my Dwarven gunner—the worst of my ranged characters, ironically!—is a solid little Turret laying little Turret babies.

    On the other hand, my melee characters are basically just human/elven/dwarven piñatas for the big undead party outside my castle walls.

    What can done about this? Personally, I'd like to see:

    - Remove blocking resource and just allow full toggle blocking
    - Buff all races' stamina bars, and slightly lower the stamina cost of running and dashing
    - Reduce animation delay of power attacks, or, even better, add a generalized Time Slow to all mobs while the animation plays out

    I am sometimes with you, simply because if you are a ranged hero it is generally harder to keep larger enemies at bay if they were thrown at you at the start of a wave. Now if you are sieging and are a high level hero I am sure castles will fall like heck. I am right now a knight and I am at wave 32. But I have played heroes and castles 1 to get a good idea of what each hero feels like. In fact I made it to Corte level 20, but I am stuck on that. I agree with the last two adjustments, but your first one might make the game less interesting. I mean I kind of like creating a variety of attacks to use. I see what you mean though, because I find myself using all ranged units. I enjoy putting some pathfinders on the ground and then buying two graybeards on my wall. Then usually I just put eleven archers or snipers. This method always works with the wave 30 along with captains and some wood elves. I really dont have experience with other heroes yet but I will try to unlock them. I right now have the free version of the game. But which turrets d you think are the best?

    I mean they maybe slow, but there are advantages from what I have read. One the runesmith is as powerful as heck. Ton of damage output. The dwarf is more of a defense type, and can be used to siege. They mostly focus on fortification of the castle and other things. That is possibly why they are slow, but like I said I have not played with other heroes so you might have a point. :cool:
