If you are supposed to be immune to knockback then you might want to check it. I think theres a problem with it. I've been researching it, but I still get knockbacked from the blunderbuses.
It works on mine. You sure the research was complete? I just did Wave47 with Footmen (2 sets. works wonders early against those zerkers), Miners (5+ are essential in this stage to get rid of snipers quick) and a couple Paladins (since the buff to them they had been a favorite unit of mine). As the footmen slowly drop i just replace them with Miners. And as Crystalion mentioned, put Torch Bearers on auto-summon as they are free and could block a random rifle fire for you. On my Gunmage and Dwarven Gunner i go Rally>Lead Foot>Dwarven Veterancy>Dwarven Runes. For the other classes i go Lead Foot first then Rally. My Gundoods can avoid early waves of Goblin Blunderbusses by outranging them. I also tried replacing Dwarven Veterancy with the Footman upgrade and it works fine. Summon 4-5 Dwarven Miners simultaneously so they can mob-one-shot most of their targets and they dont get picked off one by one. As you increase their numbers you'll barely even notice snipers after their first shots.
yes! it's always fun to try to do different than what the Wave level designer clearly intended... as you say, dwarf miners don't work well solo on 47 (a lot of Waves kill off miners by their foolish attacks on non-ranged enemies, but this wave kills them with massed blunderbuss a**holes). my fav on 47 so far is my warrior elf, with research: General's 200CP, Elven, +range human archer, human... I started with auto torchbearer and two Bannerman, while speed summoning (free) max (12) dryads, then dashing around the field obliterating most non-berserkers for 80 seconds (and some berserkers die anyway) at which point I "retired" to park my dryad cloud in front of my bannermen and summoned a shitload of Elven Hunters and threw an Elven Arrows after that it was just: summon human wall archers and stand still and simply watch everything die (the berserkers never *quite* managed to make it to my dryad defense--I was disappointed) when the occasional enemy surge happened, I threw another Elven Arrows. It was a satisfyingly condescending way to win. Edit: other than the above, I did a single Elven healer, and eventually a graybeard on the wall, but likely neither mattered. I never got a wall warning, so I didn't build a repairman. Because some enemies have shields, or high HP, it's easy to forget how devastating massed fast archers are vs "weenie" enemies. For example, start with +100CP on waves 6, 9, 15 and simply (& only) auto-build siege archers... in this case the enemy tower is the weenie, and it will fall so quickly it makes catapults look sloooow.
Regarding wave 47 and those beserkers, my Dwarven Rune Smith is part Engineer - and land mines hit all the beserkers that rush you all at once. I usually just stand still with Forge up and let the landmines and my swings with the frost / stun rune (which is its own hit) do their work. But my favorite way to fight beserkers is with my human Paladin / Knight. Taunt and Juggernaut to draw them close and soak the damage, and wide angle mace hits combined with God Rays. Makes very short work of them.
I just did another w47 run with an unorthodox army... Giants! LOL It was pretty challenging though, as the giants were pretty expensive and when the snipers start showing up they just take too much dmage. Was pretty fun though, but definitely not optimal. I completed w47 with 2 giant archers left and one set of footmen. Obviously, I had to manually take out the snipers to keep them at a low. And i had to keep casting Heals to keep the giants healthy. In the end it was pretty satisfying though, so the run was pretty worth it. Im just a little bummed that the Giants in general just arent worth their cost for what they actually offer on the battlefield. That, and they dont even have researches tied to them.
Yep.. still amazing I've been playing this through from the beginning again on my Android phone. The progression now is much smoother, having been around during the beta days, it's nice to see the moderately increasing difficulty. They've refined this to perfection. There is not really any other major updates that would fill any gaps.. except pistols, maybe So, I'm making a "What's Foursaken working on" prediction for these 2 unannounced games... 1. N.Y. Zombies III: They've mentioned this a few times, don't know if its ever gotten off the ground. 2. Heroes & Castles Quest... a story-driven action RPG adventure like Bug Heroes Quest was, but in the H&C2 universe. With so much time & effort invested in this game graphic, items, engine, enemies, environment tools, etc. I think this is the strongest candidate. 3. A sports game. They haven't done one; they're the masters of mobile-game making. I think it'd be cool to see their take on a Warhammer-esque Basketball-style game
As this thread is winding down a bit, I think it's interesting to point out that while there's a buttload more content in the sequel, and the fact that this thread is extremely active by even TA standards, it's still a good 60% shorter than that of HC1.
Were trying bro! There's a going problem in the mobile market now that hadn't quite developed back in hc1 days: quality titles are pushed out/down by f2p shovelware. There's just too much stuff being released constantly to keep the spotlight on apps that really deserve it. I've put more time into this game than a decent amount of console titles. Definitely spent more on it...
Easy mode? NO MORE GETTING WRECKED ON WAVE 4 FOR ME! Yay!! I had postponed this for a while because I wanted to play some other stuff and uninstalled it, and it sunk into my backlog along with Oddworld, Forgotten Memories, and Radiation Island. Looks like I'm about to jump back in soon.
Do it! This game has tremendous longevity. There's a couple FM entries that are perms-install on my devices and this jumped to top of the list
2 new game Well, first off Heroes & Castle is not possible at all, its most unlikely they will release the same game in the same year.My predictions will most likely be : 1. Block Fortress 2 ( since they drop it free, that's the sign of a sequel) 2. Monster Adventure 2 3. A completely new IP
Uuuhhhh, I've been away from this thread for some time and I returned to find out if there were any games in the making to find out that there's 2?! Could someone please fill me in on what's known about this? Even if it's very little? Monster Adventures 2 does sound appealing though, I'm with you on that one
What im still wishing Foursaken would make is a futuristic sci fi title. Mechs, robots, plasma rifles, force fields, lasers, conveyors, space ships, jet packs/boots, FTLs, black holes, planets, moons and alien babes. Im thinking using the NYZ2 general gameplay, but in 3rd person behind-the-back like in H&C, but integrate futuristic parkour platforming somewhat similar to the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy. Foursaken, please make it happen.
Anyone wanting to play coop Hey I'm looking for anyone wanting to play coop. I have level 99 heroes ready for marathon games. I also have some younger ones needing leveled up. So don't feel you need to be ready for a hour long game. Also forsaken any way we can go back to the old way where you could invite to a game? Or maybe a message board on coop play menu where could try to coordinate games would be nice. My email is [email protected]
It's my birthday!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 34 years old today. I ain't getting any younger... At least, AT THE VERY LEAST, give some subtle hints about one of the new gamez. It wouldn't be as awesome as my daughters' hand-drawn birthday card, robot built out of blocks and gift of Uniball colored-sketch pens, but, it would still be awesome. Thank you. Yours in gaming, Matt "BrothaMannP11911" Mann
Bug on outpost missions Anybody else have the bug on outpost missions where any units on the sides of the outpost cannot seem to be hit?
