Another thing I would love to see is an ability to get up on the wall yourself, especially when you are a ranger. Shooting enemies from the ground isn't exactly what I consider Safe. Not to mention you aggro so many with the slicing shot, that you'd be better doing that from the safety of a wall. What are good builds for Max damage? I am toying with a paladin at the moment, but he is far from max damage. He is more of a self sustaining healer/buffer.
I can't seem to progress much anymore as soon as I completed wave 30. I had about 97% territories conquered but now I am down to 84% as the invades are too difficult and even more difficult to retake back. I managed to take one back but lost the one which gave me the priest right after. I use a level 55 knight and relied alot on my priest to keep me alive in most of my games but that too is no longer possible now. Is there any tips anyone can give me to get out of this and progress forward? I keep replaying earlier waves to level up but I doubt it would be of help much unless I grind 20 levels or so at a time. Playing this game honestly feels like a chore now, any help would be appreciated. If not, I rather delete the game, spend my time on something else and regret putting in time an money into this. EDIT: Also wanted to point out that the multiplayer aspect is more or less non-existent since the latest update. I can't even play with friends as it bugs out showing "sync error". I rather have it how it used to be before, atleast you could play with people then.
With a level 55 Knight you should be able to keep yourself alive permanently. Juggernaut ability lets you be invincible, combine it with Taunt if you want to distract enemies away from your castle while you save up for units. If you run out of mana, Mage's Arcane Magic will replenish your mana. That's it.
Any suggestions on a sword using knight build? Not sure what to get but I definitely think Juggernaut, Taunt, then Arcane in Mage tree then max mana too possibly. Any other suggestions or staple skills?
Thanks, getting the Arcane magic skill really helped. Would you by any chance know what the stats for the best single handed swords would be? The one I am using an epic sword which gives 13 damage, 20 AP and 10% crit with 5 sta. Just want to know if there are swords that give better stats as then I can utilize my crystals elsewhere. I'm more interested in swords that give damage, AP and crit, than just one more of each alone.
I usually like to go for swords that give armor pierce for Human knights as they lack any other armor piercing capabilities besides their sword strike. I think Divine Intervention in the Paladin skill tree is great to have to keep your troops alive as well.
Divine Intervention with the mana make ability from the Mage tree turns your troops into mama batteries. Use a cheap batch of foot soldiers for a quick refil, they will die quickly anyway after that, especially in late game.
I use a legendary emerald sword with 18 damage 25% crit 15% attack speed and 3 STA, the best damage i've seen so far is a 56 damage 8 STA but no crit and AP and -13% attack speed
ummm still no Mac App Store version being released along with the iOS version, looks like they have given up the Mac players. I am deeply disappointed by you guys, forsaken media
I played H&C back when it was released and absolutely loved it, especially online coop. When I play coop in H&C 2 on my iPad 2 I always get disconnect 10 minutes or so into the game. I also have an iPhone 5s, would I get better luck playing on it? This game is fantastic but the crashing in online mode gets so frustrating when I'm teamed with another high level player and we are 50/50 for both walls and ground units and then the game crashes.
Same problem here, I sure hope the upcoming arena/survival mode is more stable else this game is going to be in my boring box. I can only do so much single player before it simply becomes a repetitive chore. Coop just brings a certain dynamism with it that greatly draws out the life span of any game really. I just hope this one can stay true to that principle, because it truly is one of, if not the best game apps out there. Literally nothing else out there draws my attention like Heroes and Castles 2 does, and that's really saying something. Lets hope for the best...
and on a side note Foursaken, could you perhaps make a seperate 2 handed sword craft option? Same with daggers? I noticed you made a seperate craft for double swords, but they still show up when crafting regular swords, bug?
Agreed, though with me it's more about the versus mode. It's really what made the first game what it was for me. I'm concerned about the longevity of this game if they don't do anything about multiplayer. There are two kinds of double swords. Some are one-handed and some two-handed.
Never crafted a double sword that didn't have the 35% penalty Elsa, Is this pre patch your talking about?
Alright, found the answer to your previous question. There are no more one-handed double swords. Those swords that used to be one-handed have a circular guard around the hilt. These swords got changed to two-handed with the patches, however, they are still under the "usual" swords section.
What do you people think are the best builds so far? Currently I have a paladin with a good bit in knight for added dps using a sword and shield, a ranger with a magic longbow (just lot a territory to a mass cultist attack) and a low level runemaster. It seems some people are liking gunmage builds, should I play around with that when I get a good repeater?
