Sounds great! I already purchased the game but I didn't have a chance to try it yet because I still play Languinis I just read the review on PocketGamer with 5/10 rating, but I hope they're wrong as they usually are. I'm pretty sure I'll be back with impressions later...
Is it just me or this is a beta sequel? I have just played an Endless game and it just crashed after 30 minutes. Game started slowing down badly, dropping FPS from time to time then crashed. That reminded me to beta days. I understand there will come updates and fixes but... starting to get dissapointed. Another bug, Nimble's ranger ability still says next upgrade will be +1500 % chance, instead of 15% (which is the real value) and I remember reporting that back in the beta. Regardless online sync disconnections, We still don't know who we are going to partner with. At least in H&C1 we knew partner's hero class and level before game started. I was expecting some kind of filter for online coop, honestly. Or at least more info. Game of the year?
How stable is this game on iPad mini 3? I have been put off for now by all the crash reports but if it's only on older devices I might be tempted.
I'm calling foul on a time sink being a negative. Players ask "Why level cap at 9999?", Disgaea said, "Why not?!" And is all the better for it.
I just do one hero. Worked for me in Beta, im sure it'll work for me here, even though some of the difficulty have been increased like in the final stages. I create new ones after i complete with the first.
Right. But I mostly meant that you could finish the campaign with just one hero way way way sooner (and also be better for pvp) instead of spending time with multiple heroes. I'm going with multiple heroes though, mostly because I'm eager to learn the ins and outs of all skill-trees (so I know what I'm up against in PvP) and because it's better to level up multiple heroes at once if you're in for the long run. Maybe not. I'll find out.
Ah, yeah, was gonna tell you: I recovered my beta save from the cloud, and it worked fine. I have only three heroes, so perhaps (like you speculated), the number of heroes in your gallery o' rogues is what crashes your poor, unprepared, newly released client. There is a basic information structure in place on the wiki, under "Wiki content" (also found in the navbar). The best way to start at this early stage is to click the page you feel most like contributing to, and start filling it out with basic info. "Combat Mechanics", "Campaign Mechanics" and hero "Races" might be the most useful places for new players to start reading, so if yo feel like having at them... have at them (But, really, the guides are where the true worth of the wiki is revealed. And I'm thinking you already have quite a few ideas in that area, more than perhaps anyone - possibly but not necessarily barring Foursaken themselves - so as soon as you feel like posting strategy advice and builds, that would probably be the most useful info, long term!)
I still don't understand why everyone is excited for this game. I'm not being rude or a d bag. I really want to know what makes each person like this game. What features do you like about it.
That review is a load of rubbish they obviously don't see the greatness in forsaken media games I've only played the first 3 or 4 waves into the tutorial and already love it. Like the original just bigger and better.
Yeah the crash issue is still there. I haven't been able to finish an endless without a crash. I reported crashes multiple times to FM during beta, and I was encouraged when they said all known crashes have been fixed. I guess more work for them to do to address it. Frankly the difficulty in endless doesn't scale up fast enough for me (or at all), and I was in no danger of dying each time the game crashed (like well past 20-30 min). H&C1 has huge troll waves after 10-15 min mark which make sure the game doesn't drag on forever. None of that in H&C2. For now I stay away from endless. Coop seems fun though. It suffers a bit of lagging or network disconnect, but at least the difficulty level is high up there.
Have experienced numerous crashes, both during but especially at the end of battles, on iPad 4. I really like it when it doesn't crash, big upgrade over the original!
Easy. Dont get it. You are correct and you dont have to understand why they like it so much. Everyone is wrong about this game. Everyone.
- unique - iOS original - active development team that listens to it's players and improves the game - action packed - deep strategy - great graphics - premium experience - difficult - good controls - a great atmosphere - singleplayer campaign that can be enjoyed for 100+ hours - global and local multpiplayer game modes (co-op, PvP) - major improvements over the first game (which was already perfection) - hudreds of items - you get to feel like a god, slaying whole armies by yourself I probably forgot to mention about a ton of other things. PS: for the guy who said he can't get enough of that warhorn: Agreed.
