Btw, Paladin will become a much better counter to spider chargers in the next update as well. Iron Helms are also good, as their AoE attacks will aggro large clusters, while their armor should make them able to hold them off for quite a while. As pheriannath mentioned, I think one of the most overlooked aspects of the game once people start getting high level heroes and gear, is enemy aggro! You need an army in order to get enemies off your hero and walls, and footmen are there precisely to get a large army out FAST. Sometimes just 1-2 squads can make all the difference and buy you and your other damage dealing units the time they need to kill stuff off.
Where are we at in the updates? Is there one that is waiting approval, or are you combining some of the other updates on Android for iOS, etc? Also, this game is in the top 200 according to appshopper... it shows it being pretty consistent. Does that correlate into the bros making bank on this game? Also, since we are in the sequel business and all... Block Fortress 2?
Im sure it's covered somewhere in the thread but I couldn't find it. How do you do the endless mode? I've beat the original 30 levels with my human knight and can't find any options for starting endless.
Update was just approved and should be out now. Next update will be a big one, adding 10 new campaign waves + new arena mode! This one that just went live is also pretty big - we did extensive testing with the new server based multiplayer, but you never know when it gets on a wide scale - let us know how the new mp experience goes. Also, leaderboards were reset, as I think we're finally at a point where major exploits are gone, and game balance is close to a level we want it to be at.
Is Arena Mode PvP or Player versus Monster? I doubt that... But let's test the new patch first and look at the new high scores.
Arena is vs monsters. If anyone played Bug Heroes 1, its similar to the coliseum mode there - you'll fight progressively harder waves of groups of enemies. However, you can swap out equipment between rounds in order to specialize against specific enemy types (anti-magic, anti-defense, AP, etc).
From the enemy's perspective Wave 40 was such a failure that the castle engineers decided they don't need walls anymore:
Nice. Actually put the game down for the past month or so, but the new update has me picking up another $20 crystal pack. FM never disappoints with their updates.
With the new patch I have an unusal low framerate in Castle Draydon. On max details, it was always smooth until now (iPad 4).
Finally figured out a perk to staves... They can shoot across the whole map. You've got to aim well but they get it done. I wish there was "stave of fireball" or "stave of poison" so each one had a unique special....
I'm curious, how/where do you get the weapons that glow like that? Or do they only glow on IOS? I have a few epic/legendary weapons, but none glow like those swords.
I like the idea for a future update. Fire staff with splash damage, Ice with a chance of slow/freeze or Green poisoning. So far the update is big and nice. Paladins are doing great now and I like the reworked MP matchmaking. Btw, are we already co-oping cross platform with android?
