I don't have Wi-Fi at the moment, so I haven't tried PvP yet. Is the PvP mode same as when you have to defend an outpost? I guess so... Shame though, I really enjoyed playing the evil side in H&C1.
Note that there is an option in the sequel to swap the side-to-side swipe of the right "stick" for full range of motion. That's the second option I enabled. The first was customizing the button layout. On the 6+ the attack button was exactly where I naturally wanted a movement stick. It's very easy to rearrange through. Which version to buy? Buy them both, play the second one, then play the original and pretend it's a prequel.
If you are having difficulty passing the early waves, try upgrade Archer units (elven hunter in particular), and spam a few of them early to mid game. Their range covers almost the entire battle field and can do wonders. If you have difficulty against a particular enemy unit, study up Scribe and see what counter unit you need to buy.
When playing a coop match as soon as the game starts my teammate falls down and dies. Any word on a fix??
If it does well they said that is an option.. They would have had to cook on it for a few more months though
They said that about singleplayer, not PvP. PvP is pretty much fixed and will stay as is, I guess. I'm not complaining about it though (as I haven't even tried PvP yet), but I will really miss the asymetric gameplay from the first game.
1st, that is the quote of the day!!! To your earlier post on the drought of good games and how awesome H&C is. I agree, but I will say that everything Foursaken does is spectacular. So, to my question/thoughts: I would say that Block Fortress is one of the best games (on any platform) to come out in recent years & blows tower defense games out of the water!!! What say you?
It looks like the sensitivity slider's default setting in the options menu is not at the far left. So it would be great if we had a reset button to restore the default sensitivity. I know from playing other games how frustrating it can be when you got used to the default sensitivity and then by accident change it, not knowing what the default slider position is.
I got matched with you and all I saw was a black screen with background music. After switching apps the pause menu appeared but I couldn't press any buttons. It seems the game crashed somehow. In another match my ally dropped as soon as I accidently hit the home button. iPad 4, iOS 7.1.2
Maybe i am one from the least in these forums i didn't fall in love with the first installment. Everything was there but something was missing (for me)... And here it comes the second installment.... Oh my.... Felt in love from the first sight (3 hours already in)... Graphics: Awesome Soundtrack: (even little bit limited) Fantastic Atmosphere: Tremendous (Bring on your troops Legolas (yes i have already beasting my Elf character)!!!) Gameplay: Hm... why but why is this wave so hard...? Why? Just use Pikemen and Priest... In common use strategic skills.... Awesome just awesome.... Pure 5 at all! P.S: To the devs. Even in the videos the heroes animation etc seemed to me a little bit awkward after playing the game doesn't seem so strange but just for the emotion i would prefer a most ''Heroic'' walking for my hero and not so a most ''defensive'' walking. Anyway.. small talks.. The game rules!!!
Time fer some wiki-bumpin' again. Tell me if I do too much of it. This will probably be lost in the (rightful) torrent, so I'm going to have to pimp this a few times down the threaded road, but: So I did that thing I sometimes do with Foursaken games, and created a wiki for Heroes & Castles 2. The game is certainly deep and broad enough to warrant a centralized, dedicated source of gameplay info and discussion, with capabilities beyond a TA thread. Given that the game has only been out for hours, and you'll be playing for days before looking up from your device, there is only a basic structure in place, a forum, some navbar customization, and a few other semi-functional features. But no content. And this is where you fellas come in Here it be, the Heroes & Castles 2 wiki. Help me fill it up till it overflows with info. Foursaken have even said that should the wiki grow enough, and work well enough, they are even going to link to it from within the game. A few notes: Please read the Talk section of the main page (little button labelled 'Talk' near the top of the page, below the nav bar), for some basic editing advice and wikia practice and netiquette. If yer new to the still surprisingly non-user-friendly world of wikis and Wikia, check the talk page as well, for some links to basic editing and contribution help. Tweaks to the graphical profile the wiki are very welcome (perhaps especially the background, logos, and replacing the wiki content meny on the front page with cheerful icons). If no one more graphically talented steps up, I will eventually see to it myself Come one, come all. And holler if you feel particularly active and edit-ive, and I'll throw admin privilegies at ya (bundles with the weight of the world and terrible, harrowing burdens).
I ended a defense and now it's almost night but I cannot access the map, nothing happens when I push map, also there is not shield to push to start the next wave. Not sure if I'm missing something or glitched, but all I can do is walk around and look at the lovely sunset. Any suggestions? Should I reinstall or hit the reset data button?
I still have a lot of games in my backlog, but just bought now to help support games like this. Loved the first one, this deserves to get a load of attention.
Just started a new save file, Wave 5 for now, but the game definitely confirmed 2 things for me: 1. Favorite iOS original title 2. GotY
Im very willing to help out. Let me know where to start. The only thing i cant open with my icloud save is the heroes menu, but everything else i have maxed out.
Do you people play with one hero or more heroes? Playing with multiple heroes has certain advantages (a safe-net if your hero dies, you can go and re-play the wave on all your heroes immediately once you know the strategy for defeating that wave, you earn more crystals from waves and achievements with each hero), but obviously there are downsides as well (a huge time sink, you don't get to have the best gear on your hero since crystals have to be spread among all your heroes).
