The hero classes in this one are based on the heroes from the first one, some units make a return along with their voices, most enemies return, and there are some lore blips that reference the first one but you miss out on nothing by jumping into this one. Its not a story heavy/dependent series.
Thanks for the response. My Wave 32 started with 3-4 hammer orcs which I managed to clear off with help of snipers and taunt. But later a wave of 5-6 running orcs surging towards my wall. Summon dwarf repair but wall still collapse in few seconds lol. Perhaps just wait for new update and grind my hero. Anyone else encounter issue with last land Scarwood Keep being locked after you clear all the land? I don't wish to reset my whole game just for this bug.
If you completed Scarwood Keep before the Wave35 patch, then Scarwood Keep will become locked again, ready to unlock after completing Wave 35.
Can someone please tell me a decent level 24 ish build for human and dwarves? Only requirement for human is I don't want do a Mage. I currently have points spread in all 3 human trees and have no idea for a decent dwarf . I'm at wave 28 by the way.
Exact-Psience, I completed all the land when I reached Wave 20 but Scarwood Keep remain locked. I thought I must reach Wave 30 or so. By the time I cleared Wave 30, it's still locked. Puzzled me. It showed 93% captured but in Scribe, stated 47/50. There's no more than 45 lands iirc lol. Perhaps will send a message to FM to check. Anyway, great game by Foursaken Media. One of the more memorable original mobile games in recent memory. I noticed that in this game, if you're trying too hard to win the battle, you're doing it wrong. Maybe doesn't apply for Wave 32 onward lol.
Spoiler When you complete wave30 before the wave35 update, you will lose the 3 locations around Scarwood Keep, and they will trigger the Obelisks set of quests. Completing the Obelisks will unlock Scarwood Keep. Same with the Wave35 update. When you complete all 35 waves, the same 3 around Scarwood Keep will trigger the Obelisk Quest.
IMO, the easiest path for a human is to get Taunt, then take the Paladin path to Holy Shield. This setup does not really require any good equipment to work, but some good armor can be useful to further mitigate damage you take when taunting. Having Arcane Mastery from the Mage tree will make life easier as well.

Bug report It's even more complicated. The old rune only works for 1-handed axes. Hope this can get fixed before the new patch is submitted.

Far as i see it 15+ spiders all targeting my hero for very literal instant kills against is absolute utter bullshit. Dying 4 times even with up to 80 armor in under 5 seconds after the time slow gets really really annoying and hiding behind walls means all that damage goes to walls which is just as bad. And then it takes around 10 battles to reclaim one lost land assuming i dont lose any more and its getting old fast. I can handle 20/20 battles but yet its the 8/20 and 10/20 that kill me because those lower ones spam middle class units instead if sending a mix or higher teir with lower teirs and a few mid teir enemies. Armor and a shield can help, and so can good aoe abilities when you get swarmed.
