Yes, a text pops up letting know what "rune" you have crafted. A few of them are useless though: +0 CP/s +X starting CP (doesn't work) +0 HP regen +0 Wall regen But you can potentially get some really good +crit, +AP, stun, dmg, vampirism etc. It's my most used spell in endless since the effects are for the remainder of the battle. Plus it's a nice little minigame.
He means that it's like crafting runes, gambling. I also asked about Necromancy chance 20 pages before, maybe not even FM knows it
Two questions! First, what is the order of the rarity of weapons, armor, etc? Like, I'm rolling epic and rare, and I'm not sure which is better. Second, is FM working on a crash-bug fix update? I would have thought the update would have been out by now...
1. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, where Common is the lowest tier and Legendary the highest. 2. They submitted a fix long ago, but Apple had some problem (FM posted this a few pages back) and now they have resubmitted the patch. This update won't only fix lag issues and some exploits, some bugs, it also comes with new waves.
Right. Just pay attention to the colors, they are correct haha I used to play an MMORPG (for a really long time) and green was never above red in rarity, and green stood for rare, so I keep mixing those two up.
Take this with a grain of salt. In fact, it's pretty likely that given two items 1 rarity apart, the lower rarity one might be the better item. Due to the way the items are generated, the RNG spreads of the different rarities overlap a bit. A high roll rare may very well be better than a low roll epic. This is even more true given the fact that each build may prioritize different stats.
More often than not, Epics can be more useful than legendaries for the reason that you have more chances at getting multi-modifier epics than multi-modifier legends. Legends are so rare that getting the best legendary equips is even harder to obtain. Im pretty sure those who have play the game a lot have spent a lot of time with epics until they switch to a very late Legendary that surpasses it. To that effect, unless you get very lucky very early, Epics are generally more useful. That said, since you get a decent amount of epics, the chance that you get a Rare that's better than your Epics is lower.
I think this is primarily only true for those reloading icloud saves, which I think is most people but still...
Nah... I have been playing since beta, and restarted from scratch in the release version, and in both instances, the most time i had on my mains are usually epics. And in both cases, i never figured out the icloud exploit. For most players, the first real good item we get that will stay on our characters for quite a while is an epic. Getting an epic is not that hard even without buying IAP gems.
Bug: I've been getting the "Bonus Rewards +1 Crystal" at the end of each battle when I play history mode, even if I die. Too bad I actually don't get any crytsals. *Crystals What do you mean you didn't figure out the thing with iCloud...? All you do is reload the save file in case you didn't craft anything good. A lot of time can go into that though, and you should prepare about 500 runes (the more the better) to spend if you are looking for something specific and don't want to waste days on reloading.
I went ahead and tested for you. According to Else, you get about ~1000 crystals if you complete the game in its entirety (without farming crystals via advancing days obviously), so we'll use that number to try. Typical users probably won't beat the game 100%, but regardless. After ~1000 crystals (~330 weapons), I got 4 legendaries, 26 epics, 45 rares, ~75 uncommons, and ~180 commons. Obviously it's a rather small sample, but enough to draw a few conclusions. Considering the sheer amount of DIFFERENT weapons you can get, this reduces the number of useful weapons significantly. To bank on one of the 26 being your weapon of choice isn't something you can say with any confidence (there's literally like 10+ weapon types). I'm sure 1000 crystals will definitely get you a nice piece of armor, or a nice rune, but weapons are a whole other beast entirely until FM changes the RNG system. EDIT: Just tested with another 1000. Legendary - 2 () Epic - 28 Rare - 40 Uncommon - 65 Common - 195 EDIT2: Just for good measure, I did a third run, which means 1000 weapons crafted. Legendary - 1 ( ) Epic - 28 Rare - 42 Uncommon - 63 Common - 196 Preliminary estimates: Legendary - 1% Epic - 8% Rare - 12.5% Uncommon - 20% Common - 58.5% EDIT 3: For anyone that's curious, no I didn't get anything worthwhile. 67 dmg 15 AP bow with slow attack speed was probably the best thing I rolled. I do remember FM saying legendary craft rates should be ~3% for people that craft a lot, but not from what I'm seeing. Does it have to do with game sessions? Since I just booted up the game.
Thanks for running some numbers. Here's something to consider as well. For all the Epics you get, how many are useful, and how many of the rares are more useful than the useful epics? From what i have seen, the number of high-tier Rare will be so small, that an average Epic will be better and more useful. For the ones you rolled, which ones would you equip your characters with?
I only checked epics/legendaries and none of them tickled my fancy really. I recall seeing a 70 damage 2 hand sword and the bow I mentioned. Everything else was severely lackluster. However, third time's a charm: Legendary - 6! (best: 68 dmg 28 ap 10 sta 2 hand sword) Epic - 22 (best: 48 dmg 20% crit fast attack speed 2 hand axe) Rare - 41 (best: 33 dmg 25% 20 sta 2 hand scythe) Uncommon - 65 Common - whatevers left Again, best is subjective though. I'm not too familiar with bows, guns, and projectile staves in particular. I don't know how high the stats can go. If anyone can give me an idea, perhaps I can provide better insight. I recall finding a legendary 5 damage 25 AP 25% crit repeater, but I think that was a different save back when I didn't care about those. I haven't found anything remotely close since. Best bows I've seen were either 60 damage 10ap 10% crit, or a 95 damage 10 ap. Projectile staves are wildly terrible - 5 damage 30% crit. Again, I need to know the best of each type to give you an idea of how good each weapon is relative to the "best". EDIT: 4th try. Only 1 legendary: 56 dmg 25 ap 9 sta fast attack speed 2 hand sword Best epic I got seems like a bugged weapon: 70 dmg, 20% crit, 37!!! stamina. I've rolled the same axe with 15 stamina multiple times. Also got a 22 dmg 20 ap 20% crit 10 sta axe. The best weapon was actually a rare: 44 dmg 15 ap 18% 13 sta fast attack speed 2 hand axe 2nd best was also a rare: 50 dmg 20% 15 sta 2 hand axe Also a rare 62 dmg 9 sta fast attack speed 2 hand sword Best uncommon: 2 40dmg 20% crit 15 sta 2 hand axe, 60 dmg 10 sta 2 hand sword At least in this roll, rares were unquestionably better than everything else [for me], unless 37 stamina per swing is viable (it isn't). The main stat I look for end game is crit/dmg balance. AP is better supplemented through perks, since you need 0 for melee elves, ~30 for dwarves, and ~50 for everything else. Higher is always better, but it is diminishing past that point imo, and those are slots better dedicated to crit perks which are way better for boosting DPS [if you're not a knight], or vampirism.
