I wonder how much this sure-masterpiece is going to cost, it just looks even better quality than some recent 'AAA' games that want 60 dolars (Evolve, I'm looking at you!)
I'm just curious to know, but how much money do you guys spend to make a game like H&C2? You guys don't have to answer if it makes you feel uncomfortable.
$1.99, with consumable IAP for ingame currency that you can also farm for. Like most of FM's fresh releases.
Thanks for the response, I always think that FM's games are a little too cheap for what they offer (specially Phantom Rift and Bug Heroes 2) but anyways, I'll be sure to instabuy this one. Can't wait.
This also has been said by FM so public knowledge...no beta tester hate please haha! There are multiple lands to conquer plus your castle to defend. Each land has its own uniqueness... as you can see in screenshots there are desert, snow, greenlands... also as can be seen in screenshot some have mini villages and rock formations... so each one has a little subtle impact on how you defend or assault. for me it definitely ads to the experience.
In H&C2 it feels a just a little bit larger. Most will feel familiar and comparable to the first, but a few areas are larger. As brothamannp pointed out above, there is a huge improvement in terms of the map details.
Well, there really is no answer to your question. The developers could give you an answer on how much money was spent on programs that they used to create textures/3D models/music etc. You can see some of the programs that they use here. Photoshop, 3D studio Max, Cubase etc. (and probably more that are not listed). Also include the cost of food and sum of all the checks for water/electricity/rent and so on for the duration of the H&C2 development process. But even if you had that answer you couldn't really calculate the cost of the game as you don't know how many hours they spent on it and you can't put an exact price on an hour of an indie developer. Also gaining all the experience from making previous projects and the fact that they created their own game engine... Hm... probably about
So, I have a question for people who did play H&C1 and those who will play H&C2 multiplayer... did you/will you tend to automatch random players, or did/will you mostly manually set up a game with a friend? If you playing mostly with friends, are they local friends, or friends across the world?
