Is this really good? one AP and one Crit staff (or both crit for a higher chance)? I haven't tried it becouse of the half damage penalty
When dual wielding, the stats between the 2 weapons are averaged. So if you are using a 50 AP sword paired with a 0 AP staff, you basically get 25 AP. This also means, that if both weapons have 50 AP, then by averaging, your actual stat will be 50, not 100.
This is not correct. It only shows average damage (or AP) on hero screen but weapons keep their stats and effects (like hitting multiple enemies)
The stats are definitely halved mathematically. If 1 weapon crits at a rate of 50%, that would normally be 1 crit out of 2 attacks. With a second weapon with zero crit, you will only get 1 crit out of 4 attacks (1 crit out of 2 from one weapon, and zero crit from the other weapon). You are right on effects still triggering, but the effects only trigger when hitting with the weapon that has the effect from what i've seen. Basically a weapon that knocks back 100% of the time, becomes 50% coz the other weapon wouldnt knockback.
I just think it's cool watching both wands shoot pewpewpews at once hahaha.... The combo of weapons is so deep with abilities and things.... It's a whole other aspect I didn't compete explore.. And the impact of Research each battle... I had some standards, but it just added to the variety.... I wish I could be playing now sniff.. I loaded up Heroes and Castles just now and tried to dash and it's just. Not. There. And the heroes are like twice the size on screen. Still an amazing game
We're waiting for H&C2 to be approved before we announce the release date. Remember, we'll need time to market, send out preview builds, etc so it'll still be some time from when its approved - usually need about 3 weeks from approval. Trust me, its harder for us not to instantly release the game the second its approved than it is for you guys to wait! This is correct. Weapons always use their own stats and perks, even when dual wielding. The display shows an average just for usability sake. The 50% penalty is only on damage and only when using a 2 handed weapon in one hand. Dual wielding benefit is mostly from the actual heroes' combos (which strike quicker, giving more dps), and having a greater variety in weapon function (one AP weapon, one multi-hit weapon, etc). All of this is more apparent in the release build (we added tutorials for dual wielding). Another cool thing we hope to be adding in an early update is video recording/sharing... should help with sharing strategies on how to beat certain levels, etc
K, as requested will be releasing some more screens over time Also as soon as the game is approved we'll be sending out preview builds, so hoping to get some impressions up before launch as well!
looking great... never had a chance to join beta but been watching on this for quite awhile. can't wait!
I am not into games like this but you saved my life. It was blow or exblowed. Thanks for saving me Eli Strauss
I can't even imagine if it was exblowed... Heroes and Castles II saved my life as well. Come release date, come!
