Not really. Im 3 locations from completely conquering the entire map, and i have 90% or so of the units at max. I also have unlocked epics for weapons, armors and runes through gamble-crafting. It is also good to point out that having all-epic loadout doesnt mean stronger. In a few of the missions i had to swap out one of my epic swords with just a rare one which had lesser amount of damage but a little bit of Armor Piercing. One thing i noticed about epics is that they dont have the best stats. They do however usually have 3 or more mediocre stats which make them more flexible in any build rather than strengthening you straight up. If anything, the one who went with IAPs may single-handedly destroy the single player game balance, and will only be ahead in multiplayer in the beginning, but eventually other players will catch up to them. As for base character stats, you cant IAP those coz you'll have to play the game to level up and unlock skills which take a while. You'll power-up faster through equips received from gamble-crafting through IAPs, but it could potentially break game balance for the fantastic singleplayer mode. Some of the lands you will own will provide you the crystals, and two in particular which can be conquered later on in the game, one, gives 3 crystals every 5 missions (either fail or victory doesnt matter), and the other gives 5 crystals every 10 missions. All the other locations that provide crytals give them out at a rate of 1 crystal every 5 missions. You also receive crystals from items found in between missions, and you can sell away any unwanted items for 1 crystal each. There are also in-game achievements that give out crystals when the reqs are met. This game is balanced as a premium, with an option to cheat and steal away the fantastic experience offered by its singleplayer conquest-ish campaign.
I think legendaries are better. Seems that it goes like this, legendary>epic>rare, though it's right that sometimes there isn't a big difference in stats.
I'll rephrase for clarity : if both players are allowed to bring their single player armies into PvP matches, buying gems as IAP will offer a potentially massive advantage as long as both players have not maxed out their troop and castle upgrades, and filled all their hero slots. Once both players have reached that cap, the player who purchases (more) crystals as IAP will have a slight advantage thanks to superior or more epic/legendary equipment (which does impact both versatility and power). It does not seem like this advantage will be decisive in any manner. That said, I am still certain Foursaken will negate even this smaller incongruence. (And yes, IAP seems primarily geared towards letting players quarter-arse their way through the single player campaign, robbing themselves of any sense of achievement, skill and probably purpose.)
Hm not really. In a sense a player who spend 20 dollars on gems isn't really guaranteed any god tier equips the moment he gets them. It's all really based on chance. Equips will play some part but it sort of depends more on skill and what class/race you're using. Oh and by the time players reach cap they should have either rares or better. You'll know when you start playing
I'm in the beta. Hence my detailed comments in this thread on the state of the game and its mechanics.
Anyone having problems with stage 12? Seems to always crash on me on both my iPad mini and iPhone 5. Usually around when those poison magic guys appear. Some times earlier though. Love the game so far! Can't wait to see how endless mode plays out.
Im at Wave 27 with 3 lands left to conquer (im taking it slow and playing history battles and trying to complete achievements LOL) and i've only had a few crashes due to having high in shadows under settings.
wave 27...... really ? Im only at wave 16 , and busy grinding . Btw can I ask what weapon are u using ? for me, Im using bow .
Spoiler iPad2 struggles right here xD it's a miracle this amazing game can run on the iPad2 anyways. Since I've been stuck on wave 14 cause it crashes a lot I just surrender and conquer more lands. I'm using an elf with the full grandmaster build and it is amazing.
Remember, this is beta... there will be issues, especially on iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPhone 4s, iPad 3, etc (all in the class of the lowest supported devices - which as we mentioned in the beta notes we haven't begun to optimize or test on yet). Re: iphone 5, I've actually tested exclusively on iPhone 5 (100+ hours of recent testing, completed the game several times through) without any crashing, so that's why we need details via email to find and fix issues! We'd appreciate it if in the future you sent reports directly to [email protected] Issues found in the beta should not be announced publicly, as again, its beta - everything and anything is subject to change.
Totally understand. I was thinking I could record my iphone 5 with my elgato, but I only have the adapter for the older devices . I'll see if I can figure out why it was crashing for me on the 5 over the weekend! Keep up the excellent work!
