So, I definitely would not considered the game "open world" The bulk of the main campaign is still defending your main castle in a progression of waves, similar to H&C1 - biggest difference there is the presentation, which as mentioned before is much more seamless (you don't go to a menu to choose level 3, for ex). You can still replay waves, but you have to talk to the scribe and "relive history", for ex. As for the map, there are indeed 30+ lands to capture and defend across a variety of land types and scenarios, in addition to the main campaign. So, each land on the world map has various bonuses they can give you, from earning extra crystals, to unique unit unlocks, to unit discounts, and other stuff. You only get those bonuses while you own the land though. Once you own a land you establish an outpost on it, which can later be attacked by the enemy (which you then must defend or lose it). If you lose against an attack, you lose that outpost and the associated bonuses with that specific land - you can of course retake the land though. The nice part about conquering the map is that you can do it at your own pace - they're not really a requirement, but their rewards add up to be pretty big so I'd imagine most players will be trying to capture as many lands as they can. Tying all of this together is a "time" element... One day in the game = any one battle played (win or lose). So for example, you might have 5 days to defend an outpost under attack before you lose it. Or you might have 3 days to defend your main castle (before you must try to defend it).
Holy shit my head is spinning. So not only do you have tons of freedom and now you're controlling a map and outposts ???? Anything else we need to know???? lol
Based on your description of the game , I highly recommend u to price this game at $3.99 , ur efforts on this game really deserves it and I think all your supporters agrees.
The problem is that they need a lot of players for the versus mode to work properly. Perhaps one version of the game will be paid and another version free again? As with Heroes & Castles 1?
I dunno if you guys release things on steam, but iOS seems like a waste of your talents. Even $3.99 is too low for how much work you put into your games.
Sadly enough even though most of us here would probably pay 5 to 10 bucks for this piece of art( the way I see it) it just dosent make up the majority. I think they said it's going to be just like the first one since it worked for them. I'll definitely gift this to couple of my friends and hope they get hooked on foursaken!
The problem is that we would pay more for it - let's say 5 USD is still VERY fair price, but for this price a lot of people wouldn't even try the game. Not only becouse it's more money, but we're on the Appstore which is a specific market
Kind of a side note, but the "reverse inflation" on mobile games is really strange to me. Having grown up in the era where a game came out at around $39.99 and pricing slowly rose to $59.99 regardless of the amount or quality of gameplay, it's shocking how much the mindset has changed. I easily got more hours from H&C1 than any other game that year, and yet I spent so little relative to other "premium" titles that I paid full price for. I would have no issue paying full premium price for this game, and I have full confidence I would get far more bang for my buck compared to most major releases, regardless.
That is why it is so important for all us to throw some into the proverbial tip jar AKA buy some diamond packs as is standard with Foursaken_Media games IAP is optional and will only be a cheat or a way to expedite the game...
I like how this was solved in BH2 - if you equip a banner, your score doesn't count and xou had a better chance for better rewards. This is awesome I would like to compare it with BF bots - here it was a little bit unfair. Especially for those without credit card - when you gift an app to a friend, he can't buy (/you can't gift) any iaps. I'm not complaining about them, I purchased all+upcoming bots on the first day the update came out, I'm just saying I liked the BH2 solution
It's good to know that every Wednesday is just one less Wednesday I have to go before it's the best Wednesday in the history of Wednesday's when this finally comes out.
Sid Meier's Starships has been released for $14.99 and i'm in two minds whether to get it, this game when released could be twice that amount and I wouldn't hesitate in buying it. Your reputation for bringing out high quality games that have huge entertainment value is known by many. I can't wait for this
Beta has officially been submitted earlier today - waiting for review now. I have no idea how long beta reviews take, so lets hope it goes quick We'll send out the invites as soon as its approved.
