It's not a new update. If you're seeing a lot of old games getting updates it's because Apple updated their certificates and are applying it to apps. Therefore old updates are popping up, like this one.
Sorry to bump the thread but I just noticed I can not launch the game any longer as i am on iPadOS 14.5. Apparently the developer needs to update the app in order for it to work and sadly the game is no longer on the AppStore so… RIP one of my favourite game of all times…
Another premium game lost to the Apple incremental update syndrome. This alone is enough to kill premium gaming on iOS.
In my case with iOS 14.5.1 says that the developer must update the app in order to work with this iOS version and doesn't launch at all (it's a system message, not in-app)
Just adding to the discussion. I did a few tests and found that if I freshly downloaded it straight from my purchase history, everything works perfectly like Xeyad above. iPadOS 14.5.1. Edit: I think I might be on to something but it’s tricky to explain. Long story short, you’ll probably find a handful of older games that suddenly don’t work on ios14+. What I did was first make sure that the broken game is still in your purchase history, then cross your fingers and delete from your device, and finally reinstall. I had a growing folder of apps that I’d kissed and said goodbye to. The original Playdek board game apps Agricola and Summoner Wars were in there, as of ten minutes ago they’re back in action and I’m pretty happy to be honest. A few haven’t worked MH Freedom Unite for example. But for this game at least, I hope you are all able to bring it back to life.
I also have Ipad Pro M1 but without Heroes3. Is there any chance that i can buy/install it on my device? I'm a big fan...
