Hey developer! Awesome job man! The game is perfect as is, but I'm sure your updates will be awesome. Though I would like to see a leaderboard just for competition's sake.
It says you don't want to trigger a curse (skull tiles), so I was avoiding matching them--but you're supposed to match them as it earns points and doesn't decrease life. So what is meant by "triggering" them?
Oh I get it: the "curse" is that after you merge skulls, something else gets erased, and there's a randomness to it. So you have to weigh the benefit of keeping the board clear with the downsides.... Developer: great game! Couple ideas: * can you make the replacement of these tile that's replaced by the new skull happen AFTER the animation that connects the merged skulls to to the tile that's going to be replaced? I want to see what I lost by merging the skulls, and usually can't tell because it's already been replaced by a skull before I can see what was there * Consider making the description of triggered things (tavern, dragon killer, etc) flash a bit too help the player be aware of what happened. Will help cultivate strategy since player will be more aware of what is valuable... * Add a tip jar Thanks for the great game!
Great game! But there is one thing I did not understand yet: sometimes when there is a dragon and you match two skulls, the dragon gets cursed or whatever, it turns blue. Is this a good thing or not? What exactly is happening then? Edit: Ok I figured it out. Definitely a bad idea, the blue dragon destroys all hearts on the board. Kill it fast!
Thanks a lot for the feedback and ideas! I'm also considering seasonal events that affect the game rules a bit.
I was thinking the skull tile as the icon, but it could be a different color than the gray in the game, or not. But it's really ok as it is now, too. I don't want to be that nitpicky person. Your seasonal idea sounds cool! Hey thank you for making this awesome game even better! Your updates are great. Seriously you should get some $ for this.
My highscore is around 100k right now. What's your tactic with upgrades? I ususally buy any "get coins faster" upgrade, only when that is not available I opt for "more life" options. For me it seemed logical to upgrade coins asap when they are still cheap. Right now I'm at 11% "more money from coins" and 8% "turn walls into coin". I also started raising the "get bombs when there is a dragon" buff.
