However my initial impressions are concerned about the p2w aspect as you can unlock epic heroes but I like the fact the more friends you have you get 5% of their resources... anyone else playing it? After being able to to that in a game it makes you feel handcuffed when you can't. Other than that I'll see how it shakes out. There's a lot of different currency types in this one as well. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,788 2 38 #5 Zeillusion, Mar 19, 2015 It actually looks incredibly. Back in the day I was a huge coc / samurai siege player. Maxed my bases out but stopped playing for boom beach than quit all together. I'm actually excited to try this after dinner! ahfusim Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 45 0 0 #6 ahfusim, Mar 20, 2015 hmm the hero system is interesting, but the battle seems too simplified. just wondering how the guild war works out. or is there any other special gameplay than CoC Gamer1st Well-Known Member Mar 19, 2013 775 0 0 None. Andre Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2012 3,643 1 38 #8 Andre, Mar 20, 2015 I remember that the game is "Best New Games" of Japan Store. Is it correct? ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 1,971 65 48 Greece #9 ramzarules, Mar 20, 2015 How is the "Steal other people's loot" aspect? Is it typical CoC style where others can loot everything you have in your storage and this is the main way to make gold, or is it like Dungeon Hunter 5 where it's not so punishing and you can only lose a small part, depending more on the single player gold? aeschylus72 Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2012 108 0 0 #10 aeschylus72, Mar 20, 2015 you don't lose it all (gold) ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 1,971 65 48 Greece #11 ramzarules, Mar 20, 2015 really? thanks, i could give this a try then. !nsomn!ac Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 80 0 0 #12 !nsomn!ac, Mar 20, 2015 One of the ressons I cant fully get into games like CoC. o0oJAKEo0o Well-Known Member May 23, 2012 320 0 16 Full-Time Student KCMO #13 o0oJAKEo0o, Mar 21, 2015 Tried it. If you enjoy games like this. Try Rival Kingdoms by Space Ape It's only out in limited countries as it's still in beta but, it's fantastic! New Zealand and Canada are the only countries of sure it's out. Anyways, check it out and get a head start before its released globally. It will be huge! HallmarkCard Well-Known Member Mar 21, 2015 176 5 18 #15 HallmarkCard, Mar 21, 2015 I actually registered to reply to you lol. I don't agree with you on both of your posts. I'm new to Hero sky, so the jury is still out on long term gameplay but I really am enjoying it so far. The things I like are: Players get 5% or so of their friends resources. I have 30 friends, so I love collecting gold and nectar from them. Pretty nifty. Troops do NOT die if they survive battles. Hated how in clash & other types in the genre, made you waste resources on troops on creating new troops. You get armor and weapons for the heroes which you can equip. Their appearance changes with what they wear. You start with a hero, don't have to buy her or him. There are defensive skirmishes which are pretty cool. They have special events like the 10% extra resources on every PVP battle. I like the graphics too and the hero spell graphics. Anyway, so I like Hero Sky so far because it's different enough and the developers are very generous with Free gems. Rival Kingdoms got boring. I really thought it might be a deeper game but it turned out to be another clash type of game which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just got bored with it! It's all the little details and interesting touches. There's actually an in-game video capture tool to record your battles and post them! And the base defense is awesome. Wave after wave of enemies, really fun. I'm enjoying the hero evolution system, it has that "collect them all" hook to it. Also the Trojan horse!! And guild cities that you can upgrade to boost your offense/defense stats! There's also a layout editor, mind you can save different layouts which is always appreciated. And they are very liberal with the gems. I can keep listing cool little features like this, but you should just try it, there's so much more, all the little details really add up and it's obvious the developers love this game. USA #17 Gamer1st, Mar 21, 2015 Last edited: Mar 21, 2015 After spending some more time with this one it's definitely the best game of this type I've seen so far. There's more gold, juice, and chrystals given away daily than I've ever seen from any other title, you also get it from friends daily, for logging in daily, for clearing daily missions, and I'm sure I've forgotten other sources. There's also far more to do than in any other game of this sort. You only lose troops that die in battle not everyone you use, and you can go directly into other missions if you want without going back to your base every time. Chaining battles gives a bonus and you get a discount on troop replacements going this route as well. I am also enjoying, I even bought the £3.99 offer that popped up to get a card and 500 gems I don't think it has the polish of pirates plunder, but it is certainly fun, and after all that is what it is all about isn't it?
