Your right, this is the same Dev who dismissed concerns updating the earlier game. Accept, is he dismissing concerns about updating this version this time? That does not seem to be the case to me. We are being updated way more often and in way more detail then we really need to be. The Dev doesn't even care if what he posts makes him look good or not. He is being totally honest with us. I'm not really sure what those of you posting negativity want from him or are expecting to accomplish. The game is working for certain users so why would he pull it, I wouldn't. The price has been dropped, not good enough for us. He is pulling late nights and putting a lot into this, so he is lazy and arrogant. Sure it should have been tested on more devices but he hasn't given up iOS. Frankly, I'm starting to feel like he should have. We don't deserve this game. Not with the way we have been treating the Dev. I'm just getting a little sick of posters on here acting like this Dev has abandon the game and had been portraying an "f" you attitude toward consumers(can someone show me proof of this attitude on this "go round") That's not what I see. I see a lot of effort on his part. When he has been "bashed" right to his face he has done one thing, worked on the game harder. He has never reacted like a 2nd grader the way we have. But you're right he's a total uncaring jerk(I know not you're words, but it's the general attitude). Also you're right, this isn't his "first go round" the game is 75% better this time. Stop comparing the old version of this game and the new. You do realize that they are not comparable, right? What we have now a essentially all iap, minus a couple skins and one class? For the same price as the old one, right now at least? Can someone that purchased the old version remember the cost to get the other IAP that were not included in the orginal purchase(I would appreciate numbers). Of course you're right though arnt you? this Dev certainly deserves to be "bashed". I'm sure treatment like that will magically change the course of iOS gaming! Premium games will start to make a come back and the greedy freemium business model will be defeated by our ability to whine the the best. I'm sorry this isn't all aimed at the post I quoted. But also the general attitude of this forum thus far. I am new to TouchArcade. I love iOS gaming. But I am embarrassed to be a part of this community when we act like this. This is not the way we act towards a Dev bad history or not. A game developer gives us something amazing everytime they release a game. They owe us nothing. This game is a big deal for us as consumers. This is the kind of game we are always asking for. This is the kind of game that is becoming more and more rare. We may have to wait for a bit longer. This game only released on Sunday, unexpectedly, if I'm not mistaken. It hasn't even been a week. I'm sure most of us have played Titan Quest(amazing game) was that perfect on day one? Or even right now for that matter? The easy way out here for this Dev is to have just stayed with steam and never even thought twice about mobile. But he hasn't. @Vex, Thank you.
I'd vote for cleaning it a little then locking it up for the time being. Playing and reading about games is fun for me, this thread is just depressing. Not really any need to drag out the punches as everything that possibly could be said already has been. I would normally not like the idea of censoring anyone's views, but enough is enough. We're here for our united interest in gaming, not for... whatever this thread has become. Those are my thoughts anyway.
I understand your point. But I guess having been burned twice (bought last version on both iOS and Android), it's a little hard for me to have as much sympathy. I'm not comparing versions. I'm only comparing the fact that instead of updating the original game to be fixed. He released a completely new version that's also broken. Since I don't have a 6S and frankly am not sure if he'll be able to get it to work on an iPhone 6, I'm not going to spend money a third time on the iOS version. That's one reason why I asked why the Android version wasn't on sale since he has stated the drop was to coincide with the Steam sale. I have a Shield Tablet and figure there's a good chance it will work better on it. But I'm not going to take a $9 chance on Android for something I already bought twice. Having played the old version, I can say it had a lot of potential so I was frustrated to see it abandoned. In any case, I guess I'm just bitter about the whole thing. But I have plenty of other games to play so my time is better spent playing them.
Yes just lock it.. It serves no purpose. Leave the dev alone to fix the issue. If those assholes want to bash the dev bring it to his Facebook.
Alright well someone either PM me or Jared or hit us up on Twitter when this game gets some kind of noteworthy update and we'll reboot the thread.
