How the dev is acting I wouldn't download this game if it were free...

I've never seen such negative and antagonistic comments from a dev trying to sell their game.

You put out a game, twice, and have apparently no knowledge of the iOS system and then blame everyone except yourself for the problems with your game. Who does that?

Yeah the best way to support broken products is to funnel more money into broken products!

According to his Facebook he isn't going to be adding support to devices with less than 2gb of ram so I don't know what supporting the dev would do to change his mind.

You are 33,3% wrong. Spelunky HD uses its own engine. Freeware one made with Gamemaker but nobody gave a thing about that after releasing of HD version.

    Holy # you are serious!

I wouldn't hold my breath for that. For what it seems, there was almost no testing at all. There's no guarantee thet even on said supported devices there's no fatal bug or something like that.

Also, people has said that the dev abandoned the older version. Why would it be different now?

It is a shame, because it seems a nice game. I would gladly pay for it.

Well ,since the price drop to $3, I bought this game again ( btw I've already refunded this game before )...lets hope the dev will update this game for optimized iPad resolution and solves other bugs quickly.

Yes it's a risk. But 3 bucks is small amount. It's OK for me and I think many wouldn't mind.. But at 10 sorry I won't.

I'm certain that a game having a million lines of code could run on a device with less than 2GB of ram, surely that isn't stored on the RAM, isn't that a physical memory asset? Wouldn't the RAM only be utilised by what's on screen, which in the case of this game is far less than many other games.

It's not a RAM issue, it's not an iOS issue, it's a competency issue.

Refusing to attempt to make it work on anything but the most recent devices infuriates me. I was tempted to pay for and play this on PC as it wouldn't work on my mobile. Now I definitely won't.

    Grrrrr

It is not about the money.

I think this kind of stand is exactly which makes some devs don't even care. If people is going to buy anyway, why bother?

On the other side, I am all for support devs who seem to care.

I would really like this game to work well. But I've only seen one or two comments saying it does. Can anyone expand on that? I have an iPhone 6s Plus so it would seem I have a newer device that has the 2 gigs of ram available. Like I said earlier I own Hero Siege on Steam. It's a fun pick-up-n-play. And now at $3.99 I can't see why I would complain if it doesn't run great.

The Dev is recommending I buy it on Android. But my Android devices just don't have a lot of extra space. And they're not as powerful as my iPhone. I hope they at least do some optimization or bug fix updates for iOS.

I'm sympathetic to developers, especially smaller organizations, as trying to build software that is compatible with the wide range of available hardware and software versions out there on IOS Id extremely difficult. Many use forms of emulated testing and then a small # of device testing. The best thing they can do is a soft launch and/test flight group to help them validate readiness. However, not all software developers are at the same level of maturity and experience to know how to mitigate these types of risks.

That said, I'm interested in any actual gameplay feedback on this game, especially from anyone using an IPad Air 2 (which has the requisite 2GB of Ram)? It looks like it could be my cup of tea (Some elements of Diablo, rogue, etc). I'm less concerned of spending the now $3 but don't want to waste the time to free up sauce on my device and download without hearing more about the actual gameplay (as opposed to the epic saga of history). It is unfortunate that many have had some very poor experiences, but if the game is fun I'm still open form giving it a shot.

    Hey people!

I must apologize first for my english, not my main language.

    Ok, well well wellllllllllll
I was playing Hero Siege at the very beginning on IOS. It is a really fun and casual game.
A 7/10 , not bad, not genius, just fun.

I bought all the extensions on the previous version then IOS 8 or whatever wich one just killed the game. I've been waiting for a fix forever and when the fix came the game was just not fun to play on iphone anymore with the change of view and other little details.

During the whole wait for the fix the Dev really wrote mean and inconsiderate messages to his supporters. People who actually give him the privilege to earn a living with his art.

Then he pulled the old version out of the appstore. Lotssssss of people bought it.
Only to put the same "broken" game again???

    What????

And then the same excuses, whatever he uses to create it's game is broken, blah blah blah.

I've been playing literaly thousands of IOS games over the last 8 years or so.

It is so rare that a game doesn't work and most of the time devs try to fix it asap. They're not saying. " what can i do?"

Firefighter extinguishes fire, surgeon do their stuff and game devs make games. If you can't create a game that work on IOS, stay on Pc and just PLEASE stop taking money from honest people. Only work on the latest Iphone??? Such a joke.

It's not that the game is not fun. But giving your money to this guy. It's like saying, " your attitude toward IOS gamer is # your games don't work steady for at least 2 years, and you charge again for the same game, thanks!, please take my money."

Sorry again for my english but that Dev is not an IOS dev. Stay on PC, buy it on PC, if you buy the IOS version, well, you've been warned.

There are THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of games nowaday. Is this one so incridible that on your death bed you'll regret not playing it?
    Hahahaha. Hell no!

Just to finish, one Indie game that surprises me this year on PC and PS4.
    Enter the Gungeon.
    Small team, incridible game.

Sorry had to let it out#

You do not seem to be considering that if one spends that $3-$10 on this game, it might be taking sales away from developers that have actually done the hard work of ensuring their product has as few bugs as possible. Not sure how that helps indies if consumers do not reward attention to detail.
