    Issue with Achievements

    Hello all! frisbee10461 here!

    I echo many of the fellow posters who state that (a) this game rocks; and (b) the developers are extremely responsive. If all developers could be like this group, the gaming world would be a better place.

    There is an issue I found with the Marksman achievements. Here is what I did.

    1. In Normal mode, I reached level 60, and so unlocked the achievements for completing Act 1 and Act 2.
    2. Then, in Normal mode, I completed the entire game in Normal mode as the Marksman [Act 1 through Act 3]. As a result, I unlocked the achievement for completing the game in Normal mode as the Marksman. This is normal [no pun intended].

    However ...

    Although I also completed Act 1 and Act 2 as the Marksman, and in the game it states I did this, and rewarded me with crystals for doing so, the achievement icons for these feats do not light up.

    I am attaching a screenshot for you to see this.

    Is this a bug? If so, will it be fixed?

    P.S. Many great suggestions appear on this thread for improvements to the game. Four others that I would recommend are:

    1. Have several player names appear as characters, weapons, or monsters in the game. This is a great way to get support and exposure to the game.

    2. Have a second page similar to the Achievements page that has all of the relics you have acquired at any time during playing. This way, you can see within the game which ones you have acquired and which ones you still need to get.

    3. Game Center achievements. However, how about letting the fan base decide on what the the best achievements to get.

    4. PvP? This would truly rock!

    Hey, thanks for the wall of text! :D

    Most of the bugs in the current ios version are fixed in the one thats still "waiting for review"... damn slackers at apple :(

    And we are currently working on online multiplayer for the game, and we hope it works on iOS. But mainly for PC tho

    Hello, all! frisbee10461 here!

    As a suggestion, have you considered having a Beta version of the next update available for certain people to test.

    This would be a win-win situation, as people would get early exposure to your game, and you would receive valuable feedback from people who test it.

    Alrgith so Hero Siege got rejected on iOS and here is the explaination from YoYoGames the makers of Game Maker: Studio which we use for making the game.

    "iOS apps made with the current version of GameMaker are failing iTunes Store submission due to a change in Apple's approval process. Apps can no longer include an advertising identifier if they don't make use of advertising in the game. As GameMaker includes this identifier by default, any game that does not utilise advertising on iOS will currently fail submission.

    We can't say exactly how soon the fix will be as the work is still in development and will then undergo testing - and we do not announce release dates in advance anyway - but be assured this is a priority issue for us and we are trying to address it asap.


    We are seeing if a quicker and smaller fix to GM: S is possible, but unfortunately this was an unannounced major change by Apple and we have to change significant underlying parts of how we build iOS packages in order to be compliant with their new requirements."

    So we need to wait now...

    But... So what? What can an ad ID do if there aren't ads? Why would it do anything? Why does it matter so much? :confused:
    No exceptions? Seems like glitch fixes would warrant an exception while the whole Game Maker thing is fixed, considering this came out of nowhere and affects all games made with that. :confused:

    Mac version

    Haven´t followed the thread in the last days, so maybe you guys know it already:

    Hero Siege is now available for Mac on Steam, too!!!:)

    Didn´t really expect that to happen so soon, so thanks for that.

    Well... the Mac export on Game Maker is also broken so we had to pull the mac version till they fix the software :(

    Hope that fix won´t take too long, either.
    Anyway, you´re doing a great job with your updates, fixes and being on the forums, really appreciated!

    Hello,

    It seems like I can't play more than 5 mins without this error message: I'm level 45 in nightmare act 1 wave 20 or so... Thanks in advance!

    Anyone Beat Nightmare Mode?

    Hello, all! frisbee10461 here!

    I am a level 62 archer, and am having a difficult time in Nightmare mode. I get to the final boss, and get knocked out by that monster that shoots rays in all four directions [not sure of the name].

    Anyone pass Nightmare mode, and if so, are there any tips you can give?

    Also, can anyone provide tips or spoilers to accessing the secret level?

    try killing the parasects from as far as possible, they only shoot when they are close to you

    Stuck on wave 78

    I have a problem, at wave 78, when I save and exit and resume the game, and killed all the monsters, the next wave didn't arrive. May I know what is the problem? if it is a boss stage then the boss didn't spawn and there is no gateway for me to enter the next stage.
