and btw does the strength stat simply gives u more damage regardless of the class? does it work on pyromancer's fire balls?
oh nvm, it says it's Damage for all class... cuz of the sword icon i immediately assumed it's melee damage stat lol
I agree with the last guy this game is great as it is for me personally also it would just take it to the next level to have a few skills we can active and have a CD period. Of course it's a dual stick shooter at the minute but looks like there's space on the screen for 2-3 skill buttons to me : ) just makes it more tactical in your choice when to use them and how you use them.
Alright, fair enough. We'll see what we can come up with, mainly the biggest problem is the space in the screen since the virtual buttons already take alot of space away, but yeah skills would be cool and as a wow player i like the ideas to make the heros much like in wow. We just need to re-work the talent system tho
Ooo I love that I played WoW for many years but sadly I have no pc these days and miss it greatly, want hearthstone released just to give me a taste of it : ) Definitely would love the idea the skill buttons could always be transparent, have the skill pictures on them but can see through them. I know a talent system like WoW would be way too much work but some would be really cool and seperate the classes more.
Yeah true dat, and yes 50% alpha prolly in the buttons. For now what i can confirm i will start working on the skills: Viking - Charge - Shockwave Pyro - Blink - Fire Nova Marksman - Fire Trap - Ice Trap Nomad - ??? - ??? Pirate - ??? - ??? If you guys want, you can brainstorm some ideas for nomad and pirate which will come in later updates. Nomad is a middle-eastern desert rogue (melee using a sword) and pirate is a female ranged pirate dual wielding 2 guns.
That sounds cool, it's really good how you listened to what that guy had to say and I thought it was a good idea too then you start thinking about working on it : ) If the nomad is a rouge type he could have vanish and just have it act like blink as being invisible would be unfair but vanish and reappear so far infront? Cripple? Slows down the enemy for a period of time? Backstab for extra damage but difficult to get into that position. As for two gun pirate I'm not really sure, throwing a bomb that does aoe damage or dropping a bomb with a time or proximity trigger sounds pirate like to me. I would say possibly barrage firing both guns off in a hail or bullets but that sounds more marksman? For all of your classes you could use countless idea from WoW or any game out there, so many cool abilities that could make each class even more different and fun to play. Just thought I'd edit an add I'd still really like the game to pause while levelling up.
cheers, gave me a lot to think about. And the game pauses if you go into attributes/talents screen, so no need to pause when leveling up
No problem I hope it helps and I thought it pauses too but come out of the screen and was dead earlier.
Okay, some ideas for skills: Nomads are known for their constant movement, so their skills could be focused on evasion and maneuverability. Traveler - short range teleport in indicated direction Sandstorm - create an area-of-effect cloud of sand that confuses and stuns enemies, allowing you to slip away and get some breathing room Cloak - a few seconds of invisibility Glare - summons the desert heat to burn the area around you Pirate Chain shot - shoot both guns at the same time, with a damaging chain between them Summon Crew - summon pirate allies that briefly fight by your side Iron Hail - a flurry of cannon fire from your distant ship Treasure Chest - dig up a chest with a random chance to find a good (relic, potion, etc.) or bad item (enemy, nothing) inside.
Is fire nova a huge fireball? And you could do a skill where marksman leaves a trail of fire where he walks for a short period of time instead "Blink" bc that seems to fit the Nomad more And I think it would be cooler to have those paralyzing lightning arrows for marksman than having 2 traps And did anyone see my class idea a few days ago? I'll quote it
Yeah i think ill put a frost trap and those paralyzing lightning arrows and drop the fire trap . About the classes, we have nomad, pirate, paladin and amazon coming for now, so we dont really need those Oh and offtopic: We now have 100% on Greenlight!!
Paladin and amazon too? Is the Paladin going to be a tanky healer? I'm going to need more than 4 character slots at this rate! Oh and I was wondering in the bottom left it's always flashing saying press start to connect game pad, does that have to be there? Blink makes sense for pyro and a fire nova is usually an outward flowing pulse from the caster in a circle around him.
Paladin will be a tanky healer yes, and more losts is coming ONTOPIC: iPod touch 4 gen works with Hero Siege (YoYoGames core QA team run the game on all of their 4th gen iPod devices and the game ran smoothly) Make sure your device is in good condition and not running 100 apps in the background while you play.
We will make more slots (the menu will be scrollable left to right). ontopic: I'm working on new kinds of dungeons called "crypts"
Crypts sound cool, maybe a few new enemy types to come along? I have a few more questions (mainly regarding the Marksman Class) : - My Marksman has -1 Armor (Lvl 35). I think its because I ran into some of those "develish shrines". Is it wanted that it can go below zero? I feel this is a bit harsh to be permanent, even though I should have paid more attention. - Is it possible to have critical hits homing missiles? Or can a critical hit only occur, when you attack normally? - Why do wooden boxes spill blood when you hit them? - I just started to play with the Viking for the first time and it seems to be veeeery hard compared to the other two classes. Maybe its just me having to adapt to a different playstyle, but have you considered adding a little life-leech effect to his attacks? Maybe even as a skill? - Is it intentional that you can still die, while in the character-screen? I know all the enemies stop moving, but enviromental traps still work / shoot at you edit : - On a few occasions, the last remaining enemy was outside of the maneuverable environment. I was lucky enough to have a Relic with screen damage so I could kill it. I dont know if I would have been able to proceed otherwise. - What exactly does the "Amputation Kit" Relic do? Is it just a visual effect? I thought it would prevent me from suffering damage from those spike traps...unfortunately it didnt I think that would be quite cool. - The Holy Bible/Angel Power is sooooo much fun <3 Feels a bit overpowered though, but nothing beats shooting meteors while hovering over a sea/black hole

Is it wanted that it can go below zero? I feel this is a bit harsh to be permanent, even though I should have paid more attention. Yes, thats the spirit of the game - Is it possible to have critical hits homing missiles? Or can a critical hit only occur, when you attack normally? No, just normal attacks - Why do wooden boxes spill blood when you hit them? Cus we chose to make them bleed - I just started to play with the Viking for the first time and it seems to be veeeery hard compared to the other two classes. Maybe its just me having to adapt to a different playstyle, but have you considered adding a little life-leech effect to his attacks? Maybe even as a skill? Viking is actually the strongest class, most broken - Is it intentional that you can still die, while in the character-screen? I know all the enemies stop moving, but enviromental traps still work / shoot at you No, going to fix this. - On a few occasions, the last remaining enemy was outside of the maneuverable environment. I was lucky enough to have a Relic with screen damage so I could kill it. I dont know if I would have been able to proceed otherwise. Interesting, never happened to me before. What enemy was it and in which area? - What exactly does the "Amputation Kit" Relic do? Is it just a visual effect? I thought it would prevent me from suffering damage from those spike traps...unfortunately it didnt I think that would be quite cool. Amputation kit gives you the ability to fly through everything, exept boundary walls. - The Holy Bible/Angel Power is sooooo much fun <3 Feels a bit overpowered though, but nothing beats shooting meteors while hovering over a sea/black hole Amputation kit gives the same effect -hp gained from wings
Alright so i just programmed Diagonal shooting into the game, so now you can shoot in 8 directions. Also added those crypts to give more variation to dungeons. Will be doing some more optimization and content before i update tho.
