Single player stats are currently reported in the "Custom Battle" screen. Sorry for hiding it, didn't have a better place to put them at the time. These aren't quite as developed as the multiplayer statistics (which provide very fine details on individual unit performance, spells cast, dice rolled, etc.) but they do provide wins/losses/total played as well as your total time spent in the app.
Wow well I just had my first couple of online games and boy does it mange to capture that feeling of a tight board game feel. It has that tense dice rolling feeling to the attacks. I won 1 lost 1 and loved them both. And after playing agree that there is some different feeling you get from playing against another real player instead of the AI. I voted for the community features/rewards as after playing online I can see how Async will be cool but the battles really don't last that long anyway and more features would be better in my opinion. Either way I'm loving this game.
Hey Ross, reading the last two posts, I fear I have no other choice as getting my whip and coming over to your place, to care that you include everything in the next update... sorry, lad. I hope the poll is as you wanted it. I am really interested in the outcome. At the moment, all opinions share 5 points.
Agree on the deserving money part; however, should be advised that IAP sales figure in at usually 2-10% of overall revenue when they're add-on content like extra levels, characters and so forth. Adding value to the core game for free might seem like a lot of work for nothing but it helps re-validate the original purchase decision for those who already picked it up, making them that much more likely to recommend the game to friends. If the original Angry Birds had added its first level pack as IAP pack instead of giving 40+ more levels for free, Rovio would not be in business as the company know it today.
That's a good point. I don't normally think about buying an IAP for a game I am already enjoying but at the same time free content is bringing in more new customers. I suppose it all depends on how well it sells. Either way bonus content or not it's a great game how it is. But more is normally better (providing its not making it more complicated as I'm really enjoying how accessible and easy to learn it all is) I Lol'd at the tutorial saying you just learned what a 80page manual would have taught you.
Bought the game this morning, but didn't get any further as level 2 tutorial(my 1 year old goblin is suddenly mobile and terrorizing daddy's record and comic collection) but loving it so far. Thanks for putting up a poll Vovin, voted for single player campaign, and had a laugh at how close it's up to now!
Thanks for adding the poll, Vovin! Wow...those results are pretty close. I thought async was shaping up to be a clear winner, but you guys are making this a difficult decision...
Don't forget that the TA forums have a huge bias, compared to your average customer, toward deeper features that require more commitment and effort to take advantage of. Just because they spend a lot more time playing games (not to mention talking about them and analyzing them). But you can't make much money just selling to TA forum members, there aren't enough of them.
Voted for async mp. While I'm really liking the look of this game, I won't consider buying without either async mp or a full sp campaign. Playing online with strangers is not my thing at all and unfortunately all my gaming friends are spreaded over several time zones and sitting down at the same time for a game is near impossible.
Argh the more I play online not only do I love this game more but I need the extra content that the pc users have acess to. :-( I've just been playing with people who have summoners and barbarians and wizards. Is there any kind of time frame of when us mobile users will be able to purchase the extra content? On a different note I just had a couple of games online and one of which was with the world number 1 guy! And it was so close at one point I had three guys left and he only had one, but somehow he turned around and beat me :-( It was a really cool close game.
There's a company called Milkman games that has an iOS In-App purchase ANE (AIR-Native-Extension) for Adobe Flash which I used to develop Hero Mages. It looks like they have a good tutorial that explains how to implement. I'll look into it some more this week and see if it'd be possible to get the expansion content added in a quick minor update for iOS. Awesome to hear about your epic battle! Crazy how he was able to come back with one one character left, isn't it?
That's a pretty sweet video you made, Sanuku! How did you manage to capture from the native device? Would you mind if I add this to the videos page on the Hero Mages site?
it's the luck of the dice and cards I suppose. His last guy was a mage or summoner (one of the two) he summoned two skeletons together and in the blink of an eye i went from having the advantage to being on the run
Hmm... So D&D and TBS? Never played D&D so don't know how it'll turn out, but I guess 10 pages must have some positive feedback.
I really hope this gets a bigger online following as at the minute when I go online there's never anyone to play with :-( There's been two people sat just in the lobby for hours not playing or talking.
