Then I agree to disagree as well. If you put the art side by side with the old game you'll see a clear difference in quality. The dev also never explained the art change even though I did bring it up a few times. Anyhow doesn't matter because that's what the game is shipping with.
I’m actually playing through the original game again. I can see the difference in style, but not quality. Both are good in their own way. The newer one seems to allow for more expressiveness on the cut scenes, which may be why they switched.

Could it be true at last? I’m remaining skeptical until there’s an actual “buy” button active on the AppStore. But this the closest we ever got so far. Fingers crossed! I’d say I can’t wait any longer, but it’s been 6 years already, so what’s few more weeks, right?

Considering that first Hero Emblems is hands down the best match-3 game on the App Store, this should be the easiest pre-order for every fan of the genre. Counting hours to find out if the sequel has what it takes to dethrone its predecessor.
After over 5 years of waiting time from the inital relase date I’ve still been a long time believer in an eventual release but lost my remaining hope around 9, 12 months ago. I‘ve never been more glad that I was wrong. First preorder I‘ve made in ages. Can‘t wait! I‘ll already be happy if it‘s only half as good as the first one but considering how long they took let‘s go for an even bigger masterpiece. Hero Emblems II - FINALLY - YAYYYYYYYYYY !!!
you are so right. Love the first game. Hands down one of the best match 3 premium title, in fact it is best to me imho. Been waiting for this sequel since the announcement. A really long wait I would say. So I literally press the pre order button the moment I see it. Now only waiting for the date to come. Just hope it don’t disappoint. Thou I like what I have seen thus far. this is probably the best news to me in 2022. Especially after that extremely disappointing Diablo Immortal
