Sounds like the added casual mode should make everyone happy. And we can keep our more difficult game. Curious about the achievements, and I wonder if there will ever be any leaderboards. The lack of IAP in the game actually makes me want leaderboards. 99.9999999% of match-three games have useless leaderboards because of IAP.
Totally agree, not just match 3s, but in any game which has pay-to-win features, the leaderboards become meaningless.
I'm really glad they're adding more stuff. I'm excited for the new content. In my personal opinion there's a lot of replay value just because the quests are all really fun and random encounters are enjoyable. The only really hard part in the game mostly boss battles. Otherwise I love walking around and fighting when I just want a quick game.
Couldn't agree more. Plus, there aren't a ton of consumables (the four potions/crosses don't really count -- they're so limited) that you can rely on. This game really forces you to play smart. Climbing the leaderboards would actually feel worthwhile.
I'd like a mode that only did the part where you keep that stuff on death. It'd be practically the same as normal except without having to specifically go redo previous stages to get yourself the exp and stuff. Dying wouldn't feel like such an annoying waste of time.
i played through this game and beat it (A1 ending - let the enemy live; go see the King and Princess first) i came here looking for clues on how to handle the difficulty spikes when the game starts pitting those lion dudes that do insane damage almost every turn--Confusion was a huge help! i enjoyed this game overall and will probably replay it to try to collect everything using the online guide. i actually beat the final boss with tier 6/7 equipment and found out about the Secret Shop afterwards! (but it actually doesn't feel like they make a difference) I don't really notice problems with the English.... maybe I just suck at English (but i really don't) the bad: 1. the random encounters, especially once you're at a high enough level vs the random, should be skippable. it's really annoying exploring/moving around in this game because of how much time you have to waste fighting constantly. 2. the game always crashes when i finish viewing the ending though. I contacted the support team and they said they'll try to fix it... criticism/suggestions: 1. New Game+? increase the difficulty but we have the inventory and levels from the earlier playthrough... 2. Would definitely love to see some Puzzle Quest style abilities that modify the board. PQ had some awesome effects like changing all red to green, hitting random individual gems, etc 3. Would love to use another PQ mechanic used-- if you match 5 gems in a row or something, it would be nice to get a free turn afterwards. 4. I wish we could take turns doing non-matching actions, such as changing equipment/skills, grabbing an item from the bag (not using it, just taking from bag and putting it into an empty active item slot), maybe even a board reshuffle! 5. Real sidequests would be nice 6. I would love it if we could get other party members with different abilities and can customize who's in the party. So you might do something crazy like having 2 Swords, 2 Shields, so matching hearts/magic won't do anything but matching swords would make both Sword characters act!
I'm at Valley Entrance. Keep being given A or B choices and don't seem to be going anywhere. Should I be following something? I tried choosing the route which had a stone or moss near it but still seem to be going through an endless barrage of 3 wave mid/low level enemies.
finally beat it 41 hours in. Awesome game, lots of fun, hoping for more new content. I got the A1 ending i believe - so curious on what happens with all the possible endings...the B2 ending i read about earlier was drastically different than mine and even revealed some info my ending did not!
I'm at Valley West Side on island two and can't get out of what feels like and endless circle! The choices of A & B! What is the right pattern to solve this?
so, I have at great expense! made the switch from android to IOS, lots of games on TA that never seem to come to android, and OMG Ipad Air 2's are expensive, went 64GB as I see lots of complaints and a class action lawsuit on Apple about the 16GB, simply could not afford the 128GB anyway back OT I have been playing battle gems on android and love it, I presume this is similar? it looks great
Welcome! I'm a bit biased but talking with all my friends, if you're into apps / gaming, iOS is preferable. That's a big reason why I stick with Apple but I do like the Apple interface (which is personal preference). Anyhow, this game I believe is waaaay better than Battle Gems. Not sure if they changed it but Battle Gems was the easiest match game I've ever played. In comparison, this game is like Dark Souls However they did add a casual mode just yesterday if that's an issue! Aside from the possible battle difficulty, this is probably the best match game on the app store. They LITERALLY could release this for the Nintendo DS / 3DS. It looks like a game that belongs on there. And not many iOS games can pull that off. This is one game I'll probably keep on my Apple devices forever.
I would like to add the casual mode but want to be sure the install is without any problems to the original game. Has anyone updated and is all well with your original game? I may try casual after, more out of curiosity than anything. Also I really fear I may press the delete on my save slot because I've read that it completely deletes the game without so much as asking first. Wish an update would install a safeguard of some sort. I'm at level 19/20 with 20 hrs into the game and would be utterly crushed if this would happen as it's so easy to do. My first post here on the game as I've been playing mostly but have referred to this thread along with AppUnwrapper's walkthrough/info and all have been most valuable to succeeding the challenges to the game. Terrific game btw.
I just updated and everything appears to be the same. I am curious what happens after you complete the last battle now. I assume you go back to the map and can just explore, but won't have anything new to do? And glad my guide's helping you. Will try to update it for the last battle, as I didn't take notes the first time I beat it.
I prefer (big) Android phones and iPad tablets. So I can get the best from both platforms Like you I think that iPads are way to expensive, just like iPhones.
I've seen this mentioned a couple times now so I wanted to correct the record. I accidentally hit the delete button on a saved game yesterday and FORTUNATELY got a confirmation pop up. Whew!
