For High Ground of Wind you ideally need all tier 8 emblems and you need to survive the burst damage the enemy units do when they attack together. Keep your health and defense high for those moments and slowly whittle down the enemy after that. And as for balancing, I beat the game with level 31 characters in 30 hours. I'm sure others have done it in even less. It's just a matter of knowing the enemy and your idea skill set.
Thanks Sapphire, it's driving me Nucking Futs! Lol To add, there are no heart matches when you have only 962 HP left and the next attack you know you're dead
Ahh the High Ground. I basically just kept restarting that until the board allowed me to create a cross on my first move and a force field on my second. That was the only way I could win. Otherwise they do more damage than I could heal. (Maybe potions would help?) I actually had every intention of recording the battle, but I was just messing around with it in bed, thinking for sure I wouldn't beat it anyway...and then I did. I can't remember -- does that battle block your path to the shop with the 9th emblems? I'm guessing yes, but if not that would probably make a huge difference.
It's so many hours, though. My first playthrough had me up till 4 am the first two nights! If I do play it again, I'll make sure not to miss anything (hopefully) and also try to fill in all the gaps in my guide.
One of them is in the Palace of Darkness, so you can't get it yet. I never got the fourth one, so not sure where it is.
Thanks App, yeah the high ground blocks future path Finally passed it, OMG, nerve racking! Any tips for Palace of Darkness? Can't do any damage to the blue dragon in the Sun Room
So does anyone remember where Alston's 6th weapon is found? I'm still confused looking around for it since I have all the 6th tier weapons except his..
He's immune to fire and lightning, so use ice. Vampire sword also works, but not sure about poison. Try to get shields up so he can't throw those lightning stones. I recommend also taking some of the most expensive crosses with you. Btw, if anyone can help fill in gaps in my guides, please do. I'll add to it if I replay the game, but I can't test every element against every boss, so if you know of any weaknesses or resistances I didn't list, please let me know: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/01/13/hero-emblems-boss-guide/
How to get rid of the stone curse in the tower of deity? Edit: Nevermind figured it out, just drop the cursed tile at the bottom.
There's a red chest somewhere in Poseidon's Relic that holds it. Elsa's 6th tier weapon is also obtainable on your first run through if you Heist the boss. Same thing with Cave of Conch - Heist the boss for Howard's Tier 6 and red chest for Trista's. I believe this is the only way these are obtainable. I missed out on Elsa's T6 because I cleared the dungeon without knowing to Heist the boss.
Started a new game. Already filling in some blanks in my guide. Going to enter the Crystal Caverns soon and see how much easier it is this time (bought one emblem, but not doing any grinding). Curious how much faster I can complete the game this time around. My first game was 40 hours!
Thanks! I hadn't tried to survive *just* the first wave, because I thought it would get a lot harder...but the first wave is actually the worst. Once I got a favorable setup, with a cross in the first three moves, I squeaked through. Now on to the castle... and a certain cabin, of course!
Anyone remember if there was an emblem in the Crystal Caverns? (I suppose I should start a list for those now.)
This game is sooo much easier the second time around. Also, was the tutorial there from the very first day? For some reason I don't remember seeing it the first time I played. Was I just oblivious, or was it added later?
