If you're finding pure damage to be your problem instead of debuffs then try to use Self Heal instead of Purify.
Have Alston and Howard's tier 8 emblems equipped, use purify or self heal and bring a few crosses. If you use heist in the dungeon you can also restock your items that way for the boss fight.
You need to have revive activated once before the spikes hit. If you do that there is no way you will die.

Most bosses block basic attacks, you need to hit them with skill attacks. He might also be immune to one element, try another if that's the case.
My king is dead. I made so many wrong choices. :/ Still, don't think I'd restart unless they add an endless arena (and not even sure then). There really should be an endless arena, though... For those of us who can't stop playing. Edit: Wait, are there no tier 10 emblems?
Bingo. Expect endgame content patch or DLC. There are locations beyond the river that look like they are being saved for the future.
OMG whoever recommended using stun for the Moon Gate, thank you so much! I don't think the boss got one attack in. I mostly just had to worry about the spikes. Flawless battle. See for yourself.
Finally beat the tower of deity! I decided to use Trista's upgrade skill and went high risk high reward-- got the treasure gnome and killed the boss! It was risky, but combining alston's shield with a steady stream of special attacks got the job done. Finally!!
That feeling? You only get that when you accomplish something in a game that's actually challenging. Playing it safe didn't get you anywhere and you took a risk and it payed off! Feels good man!
Any missable equipment or stuff like that? Can I redo dungeons and get anything I missed? Boss drops?
