Bugs!!! No enemies on screen and when the animations go into play.. The characters will scroll to the left instead of the right and hitting invisible objects
I really liked this game at first, but I have to say I have to agree that the difficulty should be looked at from some sort of balancing perspective. While I do like some added challenge from the main missions, and don't mind grinding (too much), I feel like too much time is spent in the game in areas where there's a high percentage chance you'll get wiped at the last fight, and have essentially wasted that time. It's disheartening, particularly in a mobile game where you might have limited time sessions, to get through 5 challenging fights in a row, only to be one shotted and then have that all be erased. Even games like Templar Infinite Crusade let you retain your gold after you die each time. The easiest solution in my mind would be to allow you to retain the xp and rewards you gained while in a series of battles. At least you wouldn't have that feel of wasted effort. Otherwise some of the bosses should be adjusted just a tad so they don't have this huge one shot capability.
Giving the game one star because you got stuck seems unfair, though I agree on the point of random encounters as they are generally easy and a bit of a waste of time. I beat the boss in the caves with just an emblem for my paladin and have barely grinded anything on the game at all yet. Although I'm only 4/5 hours in. Like others said if you just play a level you recently done to get gold for that first emblem for the paladin and I believe he was weak to fire damage.
Any advice for me for the boss in the castle? I'm early on in the game and he attacks every turn and locks up your abilities, I am using purify and I have all of the first emblems but no second ones yet. Unsure if anyone did make a list for where they found some for free instead of buying?
I'm working on it, but started really late, so the best I can do at the moment is go through whatever videos I have and hope that others can help fill in blanks: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/01/12/hero-emblems-skill-locations/
Finished the 3rd continent and stuck on both "Cave of Conch" and "Poseidon's Relic" quests for a while.... levelled all members to 26, farming and made cash over 56k... So far I don't hate the game because of the difficulty OR I don't even feeling frustrated at all; contradictory I quite enjoy it coz' essentially I love match-3 games. I think the 3 bucks is totally worth the time I played it. I just keep replayed the last beatable level, "Relic of Gods", to collect cash and do leveling... EDIT: beat "Poseidon's Relic", now working on "Cave of Conch"
AppUnwrapper, I've gotten two emblems I can't buy until the next shop by stealing from bosses. It's a very risky proposition but it does have rewards.
Some advice for people who just start: 1. Focus on your paladin emblem (the shield guy) as first since you die very easily on early level. 2. If you have difficult with debuff, buy the Purify skill for your healer, you can find it in the port village on the first island. I'm on my fourth island and still use that skill. 3. Be prepare, stock up on special tiles before you fight the boss. The paladin super move, which negate damage for three turns is really a life saver on earlier level. 4. For the boss, focus on defense and healing instead of damage unless you are some match 3 savant, just grind the boss down and you will be fine. 5. You can redo each map to find blue chest, they give you new skill or even new emblem, you can buy these in the shop of course but why do so why you can get them for free, plus gold and exp. Oh yeah as the guy above say, you can also steal from the boss but it is something quite risky to do That is and please pardon my weird English
Has anyone traded their Crown of Princess to the "Mysterious Old Man" at the Secret Cabin for the Counterattack skill? And more importantly, is that the only use for the Crown, or can I trade it to someone else for a different skill? He's the only NPC I've encountered asking for it, but I don't want to give it away if there are other options worth considering later on...
Wait, what? How'd you get that? My crown is gone, but I didn't trade it for that. I don't remember doing anything with it. Just assumed I missed a story element where it was used.
Directly south of the Relic of Gods on the third continent there is a location called Secret Cabin. When you enter the Old Man asks for something "crafted by Terrance the Craftsman", which is apparently the Crown of Princess (as stated in the item's description). In exchange, he offers the S-Skill Counterattack of the Archangel for your shield Emblem Wielder... But if you never went there, and the Crown is gone from your inventory, maybe it can be used somewhere else?
Hmm... That's weird. I wonder if that's what I traded at the other cabin for the stupid Obligatory Donation skill? I thought it was a book, but maybe it was the crown. Because now when I go to Garoud, he asks for something crafted by Terrance and I don't have it. I guess you chose the better path? Still not sure which cabin you're referring to -- I went to the one in middle of the sea. But I didn't really get a warning about what would happen. I just had to choose to trade or not, and then I got that junk skill. Edit: Yeah, I went to that Secret Cabin and he tells me to get lost. I'm pretty bummed now.
What does the Obligatory Donation skill do? I still haven't traded my Crown in yet for this exact reason, but from the sound of it, you're not impressed with this other option...?
I haven't tried it yet (I guess I should before I call it useless), but from the description it sounds like it just makes the enemy give you more gold. I'll see if I can test it out and get back to you. Edit: Yeah, it f***ing just gave me a few coins. You sacrifice Trista's healing S. skill for coins. Worst skill in the game. Grrr.
