Make sure you have the skill on your characters. Then match at least 5 emblems in an L, T or cross shape to create higher level glowing emblems. Matching these glowing emblems will inflict the additional debuffs. Matching 4 emblems only create glowing emblems that only deal skill damage upon matching and dont have the persistent effects.
Anyone manage to beat these guys? It's an optional battle, but I have all upgrades to this point and they nearly 1-hit KO me. Edit: Nevermind. I think I just need to come back to it later.
Graphics in this game is gorgeous, but some spells are simply fantastic. The shield barrier that trembles when hit is simply awesome.
Since I've never played it I'm curious what the tribute is. Is it just the gnome with the bag being the same?
yeap, you had to hit the gnome fast enough before it left the screen, to get a potion or some gold. Actually you kicked it
The problem with the difficulty is that it's unforgiving when you lose. When you get killed, you have to replay the entire dungeon. No restarting the boss. Plus on top of that you do t keep any exp or gold from the run, it reverts you to before the entire battle. You should at least keep your progress from the run, even in defeat. Would be a nice quality of life change.
Bought this after seeing all the glowing reviews. Like many others have said, it's a great, refreshing title. No IAP and silly energy/stamina gimmicks lets you play whenever you want. Graphics, sounds, and the characters are all well done. I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to see what the developer can deliver in the future. Mobile gaming needs more titles like this.
the gnome and the treasures that he drops from the bag... you should play Golden Axe to figure it out.
Never took a look at this as I use to get excited for these but not these days. Just seen the ta review and will be purchasing to give it a chance.
Really like this game... no IAP, no timers, beautiful art, good match-3 mechanics, and fun RPG elements. I do not like the writing and bad grammar. It is very distracting. Before the opening logo even came up after the tutorial, I was already annoyed. Needs some serious polish.
Ok apparently I'm not buying it. Says contact iTunes support when I try to purchase. This is the third time in about a month Apple has stopped me buying apps and making me contact them, anyone know why? Also I've noticed the price changes and all random prices since after Christmas and the exchange rates being off, what's going on there?
Yeah, and you can't change skills mid-battle, so it seems like it would be easy to go into a boss fight with a bad skill setup. That wouldn't be so bad if it didn't mean fighting back to it again. Funny thing is, in the old days, that sort of thing would just be expected.
I'm not too far in the game (just beat the half bull guy in the tower after collecting the two stone things)...but I don't think I trust that master Sage guy. Seems like he's only telling me half the story most of the time. P.S. Great game by the way. This is one of my favorite genres and even with the over saturation of match 3 RPGs I haven't played even ONE that does the genre justice, until I bought this game.
