I notice there is already a tournament that is ongoing, however I only recently downloaded the game and I'm sure that many others will in the near future do the same. So, let me know here if you'd like to participate, the more the merrier. Specifics will be detailed after I know how many people are willing to play in the tournament. Again, I know there is already a tournament underway, so don't spam hate mail. However this tournament shall begin in about a week or two, and has not currently started. If there is another tournament that will begin soon, simply let me know. Thank you If a large amount of people are willing to play, preliminaries will be held to lower the numbers.
I'm glad to see someone organizing another tournament, since I dont plan on running another any time soon. Some of us should be rolling out a league for rated play within 2-3 days, but there is room for both. One suggestion is to post on the robot entertainment forums as well. You might also want to indicate what your time per turn rule will be. I did "an average of at least one move a day" which actually worked out fine, as just about everyone moved significantly faster than that. I may play in your tourney, but I want to see how much work the league is before I decide. Good luck!
Thanks, that's what I was thinking, about one move per day. And nice to know about the rated league, let me know how it goes. Hero Academy is the first app I truly enjoy, I'd like to see more organized matches put into it. I was also thinking that you can choose whichever team you'd like to play as, did you have restrictions in your tournament?
No restrictions, although Dwarves (the next faction to be released in an update) may be out before your tourney is done, and you probably dont want to allow people to play Dwarves if they come out mid-tournament. The folks at Robot are still testing Dwarves internally it seems.
Hero Academy League Registration Open Forgive the arguably duplicative post, but I wanted to make sure folks saw it. We are partnering with robotentertainmentfans.com (REF) regarding the upcoming Hero Academy League. The guys at REF took it upon themselves to open sign-ups even though their site is not yet ready. No biggy, but space is limited (because we dont have everything automated and will need to do manual updates) and I dont want TA'ers to be left out. So go on over to REF, register for the site, and post in the thread regarding the league that you would like to play. We may open at freeforums.org on an interim basis if the guys at REF are going to need a while to build the site for us, but for now, register at REF and post in that thread to sign-up. I would have loved to have been here at Touch Arcade, but we will really need a few different sub-forums and mod privileges for several folks, and it seemed like too much to ask. The tournament worked well here (thanks for allowing that TA), but the League is going to require a bit more.
