Dissolving parliament, returning the United Kingdom to an autocratic government, improvements were immediate and wide ranging. However, ever the pragmatist, Her Majesty concluded that, given the complications Britain was facing returning to a position of power on earth, it was time to focus her attention elsewhere... Establishing S.P.I.F.F.I.N.G. (Special Planetary Investigative Force For Inhabiting New Galaxies) Her Majesty has turned to the stars in a bid to establish a new, Galactic British Empire! Assuming command of the near futuristic space ship HMSS Imperialise and her crew YOU will venture into the cosmos, solving puzzles, engaging in witty banter, deal with crippling claustrophobia, gradually succumb to the sustained exposure of cosmic radiation and so on, all for Queen and Country (and satire). Heck, along the way, you may stumble into a few other folks venturing about the cosmos with their own intergalactic aspirations… ***SPOILERS BELOW*** You will stumble into a few other folks venturing about the cosmos with their own intergalactic aspirations. I'd be all over it if I didn't have a huge point and click backlog but as it is I can't justify buying it until I've finished both Nelly Cootalot and Kathy Rain at a bare minimum...... It's just a 200 MB download. Haven't posted anything yet because I've been SO busy, but yeah...I don't care about the length being short because these are the games I can make time for nowadays. The humor though? I mean, British humor isn't for everyone, but it is SPOT-ON. I mean, the 'breaking the 4th wall' stuff is laugh-out-loud funny. funem Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2014 276 0 16 #10 funem, May 5, 2017 Thanks didn't see any indication of the install size. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #11 Kainamor, May 5, 2017 I am loving the actual game. I usually play all my games in my iPad mini 2. This is unusually clunky though, the character moves strangely because of it. Today I will put it on my iPhone 6 with the A8. Will do an update to see how it is on the iPhone 6. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #12 Kainamor, May 5, 2017 Ok I have an update and it runs completely different with my iPhone 6. It automatically (available in options) turns on the Retina display and makes icons larger. It's perfectly smooth and looks stunning. Great graphics. So I definitely recommend this if you have any system with the A8. I don't think I would have continued playing it on my iPad mini 2 A7. As kainamor says, it looks stunning while playing with "retina" settings, and (for A7 or lower devices) plain horrid with the low graphics. Aside from graphics, the game isn't responsive enough for me. The walking feels clunky (and that has nothing to do with gravity, it has a very annoying small lag with each and every step); giving commands feels awful too, the result isn't "instant"; to go out of inventory I have (most likely had) to press that white icon multiple times. The movement joystick is annoying; tap and move doesn't work, since most of the times I can't see enough space to move the character. So I need to activate the joystick, which needs seconds to appear on screen, for "continuous" movement. I played for 30 minutes and all in all, it was an unpleasant experience. Ok, I wasn't expecting the graphics to be good, I knew they won't be great for old devices, but the gameplay should have, and it all felt wrong. Very disappointed, since it was the only point and click I was looking forward to play this weekend. AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #16 AppUnwrapper, May 7, 2017 I wasn't having as much lag as you on my Air 2 (just a bit here and there so far, which was still surprising to me), but I found the camera/controls so annoying for a P&C. I was also looking forward to it, but I don't know what they were thinking with that camera. Early on, I couldn't even tell there was a room past the broken PC because of the camera angle. You can't really really play like a point & click here. If you don't use the joystick control, I don't think you'll get anywhere, unfortunately. Derprozess Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2012 279 0 16 Engineer #17 Derprozess, May 7, 2017 You're right, because of the camera movement it doesn't even feel as a point'n'click, and without using the joystick it's impossible to play. I think it's highly unlikely, but maybe they'll improve... something as time goes by. I'll give it another go next weekend metalwastebasket Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2017 161 55 28 #18 metalwastebasket, May 7, 2017 I seem to have had a completely different experience than most here. The game runs buttery smooth on SE, the controls are perfect and the camera absolutely doesn't get in the way of anything. I think you guys are sticking too much to traditional point and click traits. If you suspend your expectations and approach this as something between traditional and a Telltale game, you'll be very, very pleased. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the game's short duration and hope to see sequels in the future. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #19 mzinn, May 13, 2017 Screen roatation still missing?
