Helsing's Fire is a new puzzle game for your iTelemophone. From IGF nominee (didn't win) Ratloop and kickin-rad publisher Chillingo.

    Briefly
Guide Helsing's brilliant torch and use Raffton's powerful tonics to pierce the shadows and destroy Dracula's horde.

    Bullets
    - Brand new puzzle mechanic. Not a match-3 variant! Wow!
    - 90 Levels, randomly generated for a new game each time.
    - Survival mode to battle an endless horde and compare scores.
    - Quali-T story following Helsing and his assitant Raffton on their quest to clear the blight of evil.
    - Some other stuff!

This started out as a really simple action game six months ago and morphed into the story-driven puzzle game it is now. I think it's pretty fun, even after having worked on it way too much. The puzzles are easy to understand and satisfying to solve.

We're putting some final polish on it and hopefully it should be out in a few weeks.

    Cheers!

Looks great Lucas! Love the art style and originality. I'm curious as to how you control the darn thing though.

WOAH! That Dynamic Lighting as you drag your finger is amazing!

Can't wait for the release, must torch monsters now!

Speaking of IGF did ratloop do RocketBirds? The name sounds so familiar

    Hi guys.

The torch appears wherever you touch, so it's not a line-drawing game. The trick is in manipulating the shadows to illuminate the right monsters at the right time.

VeganTNT, you're right! Rocketbirds is a Ratloop game, but that was made by a few other guys on the team. I made a drawing game called Mightier a few years ago with my wife. Mightier was also nominated for an IGF award, and also didn't win. :(

    /offtopic

Random levels... I think out of the 90, tht is any one level is thrown @ you out of the 90.
or is it 90 levels & random levels so that no 2 games (apart from 90) are same?

Please lucas... clear tht for us

Not that I can claim to have a clue (and I know you weren't asking me), I think it is all about "Random Levels w/ Parameters". So while each of the 90 levels might be created at random, each successive level will be made tougher by tweaking variables like number of baddies, more hazards, less open space, etc.

Judging from their past efforts, I'd assume this will be coming out from $0.99-1.99 as they are Chillingo's little bargain outlet (so if they were shooting for bigger bucks it probably would be coming out of their big brother's line).

They often come out with lites so you might be able to get a free preview later on.

About the levels, LordGek is right.

For any game, there is an overall progression from easy to hard, along with the spaced introduction of new elements and bosses. The individiual puzzles themselves are generated randomly and must be solved differently for every game.

If you want to see one of our other games (on PC though), check out Mightier. It's freeware.

Edit: I'm glad you guys like the trailer, and yes, that music is in the game :D

I'm convinced that with some programming wizardry to remove the dependance on a printer and scanner Mightier would be an awesome iPad game. Just Sayin ;)
