Ok, I got the puzzle from medianotzu and was able to solve it. There's a special trick though, and it can sometimes be hard to spot solutions like this. Here's the puzzle if anyone wants to try their hand at it: CHEEKY PUZZLE Solution (highlight to read): Basically, there are times when you can easily hit somebody, but you have to purposely avoid them for one tonic in order to leave them shielded for a later tonic that can't be avoided. In this case, there's a cheeky werewolf who will spoil all your plans if you hit him with the first red tonic. In visual form If you hit him with the first red tonic, you won't be able to line up all the remaining red monsters without also hitting him.
Ahhh, I didn't even attempt to think so laterally. Ok, probably obvious to most people, but now I know to watch out for that and hopefully I won't get stuck like that again. Thanks dev!
Tried it, and yep... that's the only way. It's not that hard though, just need to puzzle around a little Only 5 more puzzle code's now
Retina! Nice. I bought this game last week, and I love it. Gameplay, design, atmosphere... it's just great stuff. Now it will look even nicer on my Touch 4.
Awesome! I've been meaning to buy this game for a long time but for some reason hadn't gotten around to it. Retina support might finally do the trick. Seeing that screenshot makes me curious, though. Do the monsters not cast shadows? Wouldn't the ability of monsters to shield each other potentially add another layer of complexity to the puzzles (in addition to maybe making more sense and looking cool)? Forgive me if it's been brought up before.
I don't know if there is a reason to add shadows aside from looking good. It would look cool but the goal of the game is moving the torch around to target the right enemies so the shadows would constantly be recalculated and redrawn. There is one enemy that has a physical shield though and it uses it to shield itself and other monster
We just submitted, so hopefully in a week or so. This is purely a design decision. I had shadowing monsters in an earlier version but the multiple small shadows made things more complicated without really improving the gameplay. As VeganTnt mentioned though, there is one monster that uses a shield to block the light and create his own shadow. At the moment, we've just finished the retina update, but there are future plans for a special iPad version.
I'm loving all these iphone 4/ipod touch 4 retina updates, took a while but all the best games are now getting them!
Haha, ok, that was crazy quick. I'm really surprised. Has anyone had any trouble with 1.3 on an iPad? We didn't see any problems, but one of the reviews mentions it's broken.
Wow... I thought this looked good already on the iPhone 4, but the retina update makes it look amazing... I hadn't played in a long time and was surprised to see a bunch of game mode additions and additional content that I guess was added in 1.2 or 1.1. Kudos to the devs.
Retina update ruins the game on iPad After the latest update the game is unplayable on the iPad... The game sorta "zooms in" so you can only see part of the screen... The resolution is different from before the update. It doesn't matter if it's in 2x mode or not... Is this something the developer can fix? I really liked playing this game on the bigger screen, as I'm prone to accidently pressing the tonics when placing the torch near the buttom of the screen on my iPhone... Also it's just easier to see what's what on the ipad.. I'm really looking forward to the HD version, but until that comes I would love to get this fixed.. Got to say I love this game.. It's the only game I've ever completed 3 times from start to end. On any platform...
