Hi everyone- What I'm about to describe *only* happens if I download an app on the iPhone, and then sync to iTunes. It does not happen if I download an app from iTunes, and sync it to the iPhone. However, some apps (not all -- it appears to be random) do not transfer properly from the iPhone to iTunes. Instead of transfer to the "mobile applications" folder as an IPA file, it transfers to the "mobile applications" folder as a compressed file, and the file name starts with "com." So, for example, this happened yesterday with the word game Woxel. I updated Woxel on my iPhone, and then tried to sync with iTunes. Rather than the new Woxel IPA file replacing the old IPA file, the old IPA file remained in place, and a new file called "com.Woxel" showed up. This appears to happen randomly with different apps. Anybody know why this is happening, and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
I saw something similar last week on some "little" app. I just deleted it. I'll let you know if I can create the same problem, followed up with a "fix".
I think I've seen this before - I have a couple of "duplicate" apps in my library. I've just deleted things when this happens, but mostly I try not to download things on my iPod Touch (or if I do, download/update in iTunes before I sync)
