Hey. My iPod Touch died (out of battery) so I plugged it into my wall charger, now the screen is white and hasn't done anything for 10 minutes :(

    What should I do?

Hold the home button + hold button? Plug it into your computer?

Try holding the power+home button for 15 seconds, if nothing, try plugging it into your computer and holding down power+home for 15 seconds, if nothing, restore.

I tried both... nothing is working. :(

EDIT:Wait, the screen turned black now. Now it shows the apple symbol. Hopefully it works.

    Australia, mate!
Or, just bring it to Apple and they'll replace it.

Okay, I got the last problem fixed. BUT, after installing version 3.1.2, it lags, freezes, and then crashes. I've tried restarting 4 times but it ends up the same as before. I dont want to restore because I have 120+ apps on my iPod. Help! Again!

If you back-up before restoring, your settings'll be saved. It'll just take a hell of a long time to sync.

I am yet to update to software 3.1.2, as I have heard that there are many bugs associated with it, such as shorter battery life and the iDevice being frozen during its restarting cycle. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

NOW, after getting the whole lag thing fixed, I restarted my iPod (after getting a new game :D) and it wont turn on. It will show the apple logo, then turn blank. When I press the power button, it just shows the apple logo again. My computer won't recognize it, so I can't restore. Please help. :(

Sounds like a brick. But I wonder why...
I think apple is being a bitch. If it's the iPhone, you're screwed.

iTunes now says "iPod Touch is in recovery mode. Restore to connect to iTunes" Is there anyway to avoid this? I really dont want to reset all my data. :(

Okay. So I had to restore, I spent two hours downloading each app one by one with memory only. So it took my all last night and most of today to finish downloading. So my battery gets low and I plug it in. I come back and turn it on only to find out that its not turning on again! So I'll have to restore. AGAIN. I'm just going to send it to apple, its not worth all the stress, syncing, and time. :( :(

You should have done that in the first place.

reinstalling apps and not losing data would be a lot easier if everyone synced their ipod/phone to itunes..
