Hey so I'm hoping someone has any easy/quick solution to this type of situation. Basically I leave home for a week in about 7 hours. I had bought a 15$ iTunes card, and in my haste to use it, I used a coin and ended up scratching off two of the middle digits. I've e-mailed Apple, but I fear that I won't get a response before I leave. Does anyone know an easier way to get my code redeemed?
Would you be able to bring the card back to the store, explain your situation, and get it exchanged for a different one?
Apple wont replace it they hate when people ask for refunds! I would say guess, theres not that many combinations..
There are 100 possible combinations. Before trying to guess, ask Apple first will they block your account if you key in the wrong code so many times.
There are way more than 100 combos. It's nearly 1,300 possible though it could be fewer given that Apple seems to avoid certain digits. Regardless, guessing is pretty much a crapshoot. Best to try to exchange it at the store. And don't use coins in the future.
can you really not read? He said he only scratched off 2. But yeah, guess, they won't block you, believe me I know -.-..
I heard one solution on Household hacker was to luck the code and then pour red food coloring over the digits then to wipe it off then jump in 3 squares (not circles!) and crouch, prone, crouch, switch to tactical with sensitivity 10 then jump jump jump then prone while jumping then crouch jump crouch jump and then reset and sign out and sign back in then rewind time and not be so Russian, because In Soviet Russia, Card scratch you! Idk
What makes you think iTunes Support wont help you out here? I dont have an experience like this so cant say for sure, but my guess is they will definitely help you out. Its definitely worth a try. Call them/email them. I'll be really surprised if they refuse to help you here. EDIT: oops missed the part that u already emailed them. You'll get a response from them for sure. Though it might not be as soon as you want right now
I experienced the similiar thing, the same sh** happened to me, no worries tho don't trip just email the apple service on there website and you will receive an emal from them with the code just as long as you tell them what's the problem.
Try entering the bottom left code on it. Also itunes store will not give you a new code..... They will just complete your old one. Happened to me with a 50$ code
Seriously, guess the digits. Unless you completely obliterated them, you should be able to guess to some extent what they might be. It's the only faster option other than waiting for them to reply.
The same thing has happened to me once. E-mail Apple all of the digits that you know for sure (and make sure you indicate the 2 scratched off areas) and they will e-mail you the whole code. In the meantime, do your best to guess the letters/numbers.
