Then we failed at properly informing him based on his requirements. He didn't post back saying they were what he was looking for... and he's still searching for games, so...
I'm going to try Trism. I held off for some reason, I don't know why. Sneezies is good, but it gets a bit too impossible fairly early on. I think this is the problem with most puzzle games, INCLUDING cow trouble. Peggle, bejeweled, bookworm... Those apps have something special about them. You don't need to spend tons of focus and can go back and forth without oodles of effort. But the problem is that you either finish them (Peggle) or you need a break from them. Cow trouble, I mentioned above, gets pretty tough fairly early on, and she's also not huge into physical puzzles like that. She's already a big bookworm fan and is why's she is enjoying Wordsworth. I haven't gotten us to play disc driving yet, that'll be tonight. I decided to reach out and try the Renier games based on Carcassonne. Samurai is fairly easy to play, Tichu is like hearts, ra was, well... I don't know about ra. They didn't fit the mold, but I just thought that with Carcassonne, it would just work in. But I enjoy them, she just doesn't . Hope that makes more sense? Hmm... I think I'm going to play a game of Tichu now. By myself. Against the computer. With an awesome computer partner and terrible opponents
Your thread got 80+replies and lots of suggestions, seems your wife is kinda stubborn and hard to please.
She isn't a full on gamer. She comes from a time of Kings Quest but is looking for some specific requirements with regards to gaming. I've taken quite a few suggestions and some have been good, but none have been... That special something. So yes, she's particular .
You know what is a fun little game that I really liked which was causal is Bed Bugs, Spikey's Bounce on and Bird Strike.
yah bird strike is fairly awesome. it "should have" been a doodle-jump killer but for whatever circumstances, maybe when it came out, it just didn't maintain a position in the charts. it has excellent looks, the gameplay grows from simple to (slightly more) complex in perfect pace, I still recommend people check this game out even now as it is better than so many of the "jump high" knock-offs. I remember when I showed my (non-gamer) girlfriend this game for the first time, she got into it and started shrieking within 2 minutes, then went and played it for like EIGHT HOURS straight. another excellent game, already mentioned in this thread, is Drop7. It has the most boring aesthetic going for it, and most folks who try it for 5 minutes will likely succumb to their ADD and wrap up and move on quite quickly.. ..don't, it's a devious genious of a game, the rules are confoundingly simple and once you've spent a few minutes playing this game it will completely rearrange the way your brain works. Pardon my french, it is ****ing GOOD. I play this game every day for over a year and a half now, and the more I play, the more sucked in I get. Such a perfect match for the iPhone touchscreen, it has completely altered the way I think about game design. It's a shame that this game will never get the widespread attention it easily deserves.
She's LOVING 180. iPad version? . Thanks for the suggestion. She also likes dungeon raid which surprised me. I just hope it goes on sale so I can get it for her. Also, she's advised she DOES like hidden object games, so..... . I have the mumbo jumbo ones on sale now and am watching a lot of the big fish games. Trying to decide if I should get Drawn at 5 bucks. The demo wasn't really enough...
Thought about that. She likes the non time push nature of the mj games. And that there's just something really pretty about them. But I got TG for myself
thanks for the kind words As mentioned here we are putting the finishing touches on a hi-rez revamp for the Android. If all goes well it will likely spur on an update for iOS, but I don't wanna get ahead of myself just yet. Watch this space!
