I was dumb enough to install OS 10.4 on a 40 GB partition thinking it`ll be more than enough even though I had a 300GB HDD installed in my MB. Well a couple of years later with 8GB worth of pics and 11 GB worth of iPhone apps(increasing daily) I now have less than 300 MB free space on my OS partition.

Is there anyway to move the iTunes Apps to some other partition instead. I already have all my music in the other partition but when i try to move one of the apps iTunes cant find the file anymore and I have to relocate it in itunes when it asks me where the file is. With almost a 1000 apps it`ll be tedious job to locate each and every file separately but still I was willing to do it as it`s still the easier option compared to reinstalling the OS and creating a bigger partition this time. But unfortunately, when you update the App from iTunes, it goes back to the original folder in my 40GB partition again :(

So please tell me if it`s possible to move those 11 GB apps to my bigger partition permanently.

I`m using a MB with OS 10.4.11 and iTunes version 9.0

don't use a mac but what your trying to say is that you want to move your apps from one hardrive to another? if thats the case, itunes knows what apps you downloaded onto your account so all you would have to do is reinstall those apps, if thats the case of course o_o

Its the same HDD but a different partition. Reinstalling the apps wont work as the apps will always be placed in the primary partition(the one with OSX installed)
