The last place anybody should go for medical help is TouchArcade M.D.

Use common sense. Wait to see what happens, if it seems bad, ask a professional.

  2. Ok jbruu, this will not make killjoy happy, but I switched pictures for a more scientific view of what a botfly is. If I had a spambot, I would name it botfly. :)

There 's no evidence yet that he's even infected.
Who knows if it was really a botfly? Those can be confused with other, similiar looking flies which also tend to have a nasty bite but do nothing else.
It's not like a facehugger jumped him, or stuff.
Now that would worry me. Also, I am no expert, but there's a general interest. Botflies normally like horses and cattle more than humans and prefer even dogs over us, afaik. And I tend to look up stuff o. the internet sometimes.
    You never stop to learn.

Lol. And thanks, that was seriously grossing me out. Now whenever I have an itch that's the first thing to pop into my head. Ugh...

Never Google "breast bugs". You'll turn celibate.

That's the same as saying "don't push this button" or "don't pull this lever", mate.

I WON'T goggle, since I suspect that you mean those nasty flesh eating bugs or maggots who dig under the skin and eat the flesh and fat tissue of a human's breast, yes?

Did you really just post a smiley? What's the matter with you today?

It's a photoshopped image. You're on the right track though, but with "boobs" in place of the generic "breast". It scarred me for a while so I imagine it has the power to make some people give up living completely.

I posted that smiley in lieu of this one: [IMG]

Oh, I thought you're pointing to the Tumbu Fly, some Botfly relative or stuff. Both are doing roughly the same.

But, yeah, you were pointing to that urban legend about breast infestations with multiple holes?:

I think people tend to freak out completely when looking through a microscope and watching the things that live on their skin for the first time. Some of them are on the picture I posted above. Every single human has billions of them on his skin. They're our friends, symbionts. Without them, we had nearly no protection. They are helping us building up a very potent acid protection layer. And also kill some intruders. Isn't it a strange feeling that billions of them are constantly pooping around all day? And no TP for their bungholes. Cornholio!
