LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #4 LordShad0wz, Oct 17, 2015 I've played this game and I can tell you this game is really fun. I did pay to remove the ads. The game can get very intense. Nice work devs on this. Billy JoeManaco Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2011 69 1 8 Gamedeveloper Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.asylumsquare.com #5 JoeManaco, Oct 18, 2015 Wheeeww!!! Our first sale. Thank you so much bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #6 bigrand1, Oct 18, 2015 Man, not sure why this isn't getting more attention! But, I gotta say, this game is tough as nails! Says 'prepare to die', and die you will!!! Like really quickly! And ALL THE TIME!! I mean, the first 10 or so times you probably won't even last a few seconds! It is a little frustrating, because I'm not used to dying this quickly in these type of games, though. Honestly, I still haven't gotten very far at all, but I DO find myself beating my high score all the time, so I AM improving! If it were too easy, I probably wouldn't stick with it, but this pushes you on! I'm really looking forward to Banchee! That's really got me revved-up! LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #7 LordShad0wz, Oct 18, 2015 Yep! Especially when that wave of charcoal looking things come out lol. Those damn things always kill me. Or those damn laser things. Billy 8BitFlash Well-Known Member May 19, 2015 182 0 0 #8 8BitFlash, Oct 18, 2015 Wow I'm loving this...how is this free what the heck this is awesome. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #9 LordShad0wz, Oct 18, 2015 It has the same vibe like particle mace? Billy JoeManaco Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2011 69 1 8 Gamedeveloper Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.asylumsquare.com #10 JoeManaco, Oct 18, 2015 Oh it's really good to hear some postive feedback. It's seems like a small game but I've worked on it for months and put a lot of effort into it especially the level design / level generator / game design - so it feels so excited that there are people out there who loves the game. The downloads are very poor so far but the feedback so far really motivates me to work on it and improve it further... @8BitFlash: It's free with ads (with an InApp-Purchase to remove them). I think/hope that I've set the ad frequency to a value so it doesn't get too annoying. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #11 vectorarchitekt, Oct 19, 2015 From the photos it looks like it could have been a Sega Genesis game H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #12 H4nd0fg0d, Oct 19, 2015 Tough stuff. I do love the challenge. Disabled adds to support devs. The game seems to be missing a certain something, an additional dynamic of some sort. Have to put some thought into this. I really hope the devs have something more planned. I like these quick run games, but quickly you reach a point of diminishing returns with little left to accomplish and it gets deleted. Sadly. I really think this is the case as everyone I watched playing improved his abilities to survive with each game. At the moment I'm implementing a kind of "Shop" where the player can exchange gems he collected with power ups / upgrades for the ship / wrecking ball and even some mega weapons ;-) I hope this helps to increase the replay value of the game. (btw: If someone of you has an idea for a great upgrade / power up, please let me know. I will put your name in the Credits section, of course ) @vectorarchitekt Hehe JoeManaco Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2011 69 1 8 Gamedeveloper Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.asylumsquare.com #15 JoeManaco, Oct 20, 2015 I'm working on the new upgrades/shop right now. Here is the first draft of the shop: What do you think? You can only have one power up active at one time - so you have to choose the right upgrade for the current level you're playing. Probably I add slots later to combine different upgrades, but I'm not sure for now. H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #16 H4nd0fg0d, Oct 20, 2015 Very nice. Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely loving this and the difficulty but can rlly appreciate the additional items. Not a fan of the single life either. I have one semi successful run out of 20 with very meager returns. No incentive to want to play. JoeManaco Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2011 69 1 8 Gamedeveloper Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.asylumsquare.com #19 JoeManaco, Jan 16, 2016 I've just released a new update to Helicopter Mega Splash with new daily levels and some minor bugfixes. The shop is now also much cheaper ;-) (This will still take a few hours until it's live). Hope you enjoy it.
