What? Is that something that can be done. Just sync the ipad app to your iphone? Do other apps work like that?
I've totally bought into the post PC era so have not owned a PC in about a year. I sold my iMac and Mac Pro. After a week of depression I started getting use to only using my iPad's or iphone. My point is I never got a chance to play this game, but since day one I've been watching some of the greats play this on twitch basically for at least a few minutes a day. You've got Kripp, Trump, and my favorite Reynad27. His YouTube channel is so informative and he shows you how without spending a penny how to make legendary ranking. His stream which goes by the same name is amazing. He sits there and will explain exactly why he's making a move and what his plans are for every turn. This game is so good yet so easy to pick up and play and so hard to master. I really hope people here start to give this game a chance when it's released. I set up a Canadian account just for this and after months of just watching it I'm so glad I can finally play
The more I play this the more I'm loving it. And if you are good at these types of games, then you should be able to play completly for free. I'm deff going to drop at least $20 on packs just because this gene is so awesome.
Can't wait for the iPhone version I've been playing the pc a little and nearly unlocked all of the heroes now through none competitive play. I've only lost 1 match so far but I'm sure that'll change when I play comparative. Although I won't be doing that until I get all classes to level 10
This. Im just waiting for the intl release so i can use my local account for the purchase. I spent thousands of dollars on Magic cards and on WoW TCG back then, $20 is a no brainer for me here since im really enjoying it.
Im really enjoying the Warrior's innate defense and weapons with a set of aggro minions. And Shield Block's got me out of a tight spot converting into wins. My favorite minion, the Frothing Berserkers, are friggin strong for their cost when casted at the right time.
Been playing it daily for ~6 months. Here are some good things to check out for new players who want to get into it a bit more. www.arenavalue.com - an Arena draft guide page, a good idea to help get an idea of the general value of cards and see a good overview of how your deck is balanced. The card rankings don't necessarily apply to constructed though as it devalues synergy/combination cards. www.hearthpwn.com - Lots of deck lists here. You can do things like specify a card you want to use (just opened a legendary or such) and see decks that use it. https://www.youtube.com/user/TrumpSC - Trump's youtube. Recommended because the videos have most dead time (waiting on opponent and such) edited out, and he's pretty good. Has series reaching the legendary rank with free decks (no legendaries, attainable expert cards) on new accounts. Don't have to watch much to get the idea of the basics of good play. Random tips: - Quests have an X in the corner, you can re-roll one per day. General rule, re-roll every 40 quest hoping for a 60 if you have the time to play it. I'm not sure if it's still active or exists on the iPad, but for weeks there had been a bug where you can re-roll infinitely from around midnight to 4 am est. - Disenchant anything golden that you have normal copies of, you are going to do it eventually. - Only craft class specific cards if you really need it for a specific deck, much better to get the good neutral cards as the popular classes/decks change a lot. - The main gameplay tip I'd give new players is to learn the major removal spells of the classes and specifically play around them. For example Mage's flamestrike does 4 to everything at 7 mana, so if you have board control don't play anything that will die to it unnecessarily. Paladain can do 2 to everything with consecration, but can combo that with equality to do a completely board clear, so you don't want to put out more minions than you need to maintain control or else they might be wiped for free. etc. - Heroes whose power effects the board are the best in Arena, as well as those whose good class cards have lower rarity. Mage isn't very popular in constructed where combinations and theme decks are the best, but it's great in Arena. 1 damage to a creature without taking any back is huge to clear things, and Flamestrike is among the best cards that shows up regularly (it's a basic set card).
So hooked on this game, play of on the PC. Will get it when it comes out for the ipad for on-the-go. I loved magic, & I do enjoy this game, I always loved the physicality of having the cards in your hand / being able to collect them / ect. I never used to go to the tournaments at my local store so I ran out of people to play with. As people stopped playing magic through the years. I enjoy hearthstone because I can play anywhere, anytime. && there's always someone to play with! It had a huge player base
If you like shield block on it's own, you'll love it once you get a shield slam. Does your armor damage to a minion for 1 mana, so shield block into shield slam is pretty great, especially if you've already got some armor anyway.
Wait, can you tell me how exactly you got this to sync on to your iphone? I don't see it as available to sync onto my phone from iTunes. (I've already synced my ipad). Didn't even know this was possible if the app isn't universal.
You just need to edit the info.plist file inside the IPA file. Under where it says UIDeviceFamily, you'll see the number 2. You just change that to a 1 and you're done!
Cool, but for us newbies I think it's a little harder than that. One can't just edit the plist file without having a means of resigning the app again. That in itself takes a little bit of tech savyness I think. Giving it a go myself but not fruitful at the moment.
