He's the first and only GvG legendary that I've crafted. I doubt that Boom will ever get nerfed. He dies to BGH. You usually can't play him until turn 7. And you can only put 1 of him in a deck. Sure he's powerful. But he's a legendary. Aren't they supposed to be powerful?
Nope legendaries are supposed to offer unique effect, not powerful. Look at Millhouse, Nat, Tink... The problem of Dr. Balanced is that he offer too much value for his cost, I'm not saying he is OP, just that he is a little power creep, that's all. Lately I have dust off my old 9/4 Thieving Priest deck and include two Holy Hand Grenade to deal with Dr. Balanced, all the Grim Patron warrior, Dragondin, Mustardin. My only lost is Face Hunter and Zoolock, however, the meta is shifting toward heavy control with all the big minion from BRM, so I got to copy a lot of nice card. LOL can't wait to see the whine on battle.net about Priest.
Ok. Most legendaries do offer a unique effect. But I feel that most of them are more powerful because of their unique effect. Most people dust Millhouse as soon as they open him. Not me. Because under the right circumstances he's extremely powerful for his cost. And because Rip Taylor rules. ## And anyways you cherry picked some of the most underwhelming and low costed legendaries in the game. You didn't mention Ragnaros, Alexstraza, Loetheb, Sylvanas, Malygos, etc...
...Which are all lesser than Dr. Boom in value-for-cost, and are all better in specific types of decks unlike dr. Boom that can potentially swing the tempo to your side in any deck. ANY DECK.
Ok. I concede. Boom is probably the most well costed card in the game. The fact that you can't silence his battlecry means you will always get the Boom Bots. The Boom Bots can be silenced... But there's two of them. I still don't think he should be nerfed. There is always going to be an alpha-card. It used to be undertaker. Now it's Boom. New topic: Would it have been more interesting if instead of nerfing the undertaker they left the stats the same and made it a legendary? That way you could only have one of him in a deck.
Well I picked Tink, Nat simply because pre-nerf, they are pretty much like Dr.boom, every deck run them since their effect were simply too good for there cost. And no I'm not calling for a Dr.Boom nerf or anything since I can deal with him just fine. As for making undertaker a legendary, I think it is a bad idea, most deathrattle deck pre nerf were centered around him, now with only one copy of him in the deck, do you think it is justified to build a whole deck centered around only one card ? Moreover with only one copy, he will create what I call a "hard mulligan mindset", in which you will more likely dump your entire starting hand, trying to look for him. Simply because, if you draw him turn one, he can snowball pretty hard but if you draw him late game, then you are screwed. That kind of RNG is what I really hate. He is too inconsistent to use if they make him legendary. Tl,dr legendaries don't make a deck, commons and rares do, just my two cent.
Some people enjoy bickering about the meta. I think that this has been a healthy conversation. It makes me want to play Hearthstone even more.
We Need Warcraft 4! Hearthstone is an amazing game, I have so much fun playing it. However, it takes me back to the good old warcraft days, man how I wish Blizzard would release a warcraft game soon!
At this point I'd rather have more deck slots than more cards. I keep having to erase interesting decks!
