Not necessarily. Higher ranked players have probably been playing longer than lower ranked players. The longer you've been playing, the more cards you probably have. The more cards you have, the more likely you are to have "better" cards. But the way to win at hearthstone is to play cards that synergize with each other, and to play well. Ragnaros is a very strong card. But if you had a deck with 30 Rags in it I would win every time.
Well put bud. Yes it's some about what cards you have but RNG isn't always on your side even with a bunch of legendaries. Like he said you need cards with synergies to your other cards. Cards that play off each other well. Set up some combo time and bam. I've beaten decks with lots of legendaries and I've lost with my deck of lots of legendaries. You just can't get frustrated and use it as a learning experience. Think about what you could've played differently or what you could put in your deck next time to better use your deck properly. It's all about the tweaking. The meta changes constantly. Once you find a hero you really like them build around them and stick with it. Losses are learning experiences. I've played for a while and have lost a ton of times but I try to take my losses and build from them. Stick with it
For some odd reason, I can't use the shop. This just pops up and doesn't go away. I've reinstalled, rebooted, and even restored. I have my own iTunes account, so it's not IAP restrictions. What's going on? I'm on an iPhone 6+ with iOS 8.3.
Got Dr Balanced in a card pack yesterday I'm not proud of it, but I will use it in every deck I can possibly put him in
Wanted to get everyone's take on conceding games. I'll preface by saying I love HS! Been playing it since the start of season 1 and have probably played at least one game everyday since it is easily one of my favorite video games I've EVER played on ANY platform! On to the point. I've gone back and forth on this. On one hand, there is the school of thought that, once the game is in hand, the loser should concede so that both players can move on to their next game, I've even heard this referred to as "graciously conceding." The other thought is, your opponent has earned their victory and so you should let them have the satisfaction of finishing it. Along with this comes the thought that your opponent may actually be working on a non-winning quest such as "beat down" or "spell master" and by conceding, you are short-changing their quest. I see both sides, although I try to subscribe to the latter philosophy because the quick concede sometimes comes off as being a sore loser. Alternately, what truly irritates me and often forces an immediate conceding is when the winner decides to "run up the score." You know, where they've won, all they have to do is attack with any number of minions they have in play and you are gone; but they decide to empty their hand, then attack the the maximum number of minions before the kill shot. of course, the rub here is that they might indeed be trying to summon as many "meek" or "mighty" as they can or cast as many spells as they can to complete a quest... I just find it incredibly irritating. What do you think or how do you feel?
That's silly. You can have one health left and still win. I've done it and it has been done to me. Can't just say as a blanket statement, "once you have 5 health, just quit!" Real life doesn't work that way.
I'll never dust him, even if he gets nerfed. Sometimes you have to do things because they're fun, not because they're smart.
Absolutely, you can. I'm not saying there is a standard concede point, but I do think you probably know when you're going to lose, certainly there are situations where you've known it... either way, right or wrong, there are a lot of players that think conceding is the "right" thing to do so that you are not "wasting" each others time. I merely brought it up because I think it is an interesting and polarizing topic and was curious what this community's take was.
I've never seen that, although, I haven't started playing on an iPhone yet. You should follow Hearthstone on Twitter and ask there, community managers are super responsive.
I used to be a non-conceder but now if it's beyond hope then I'll give it away. It does have to be totally beyond hope though as you see some miracle comebacks, part of the fun of the game. Health is just another resource to use, some decks rely on it being low in the late game. If you play a lot then getting on with the next game is probably more important than a daily quest or showboating IMO.
To concede, or not to concede... If I'm going to take fatal on my opponent's next turn (and there's nothing I can do about it), then I'll usually do something silly like heal/buff his minions, fireball myself, etc. If I don't kill myself, then I'll just end the turn and let him get his win. If I know I've lost but it looks like I might survive through another turn or so, then I'll just concede to save time for both of us.
I'm still getting a better connection without wifi than with, even though I'm currently using a downgraded 128kb/s 3G connection (went over monthly allowancep). I'm sure there is some bug with wifi connections, as I get constant disconnects despite the speed being very high, and the fact that it works perfectly on my pc. The slow 3G connection is actual perfect for playing games, which was a pleasant surprise. Just annoying that I can't play over wifi.
I'm having similar issues with the iPhone. It's happened for me on a 4S and a 5S. When I play using cellular data it works perfectly. When I play over my home wifi connection it crashes and disconnects very fequently. I'm sure Blizzard will fix this in future updates. When the iPad version first came out it was buggy too. Now the iPad version is totally solid. I just hope that Blizzard fixes it soon. Sometimes one of my family is bogarting the iPad when it's clearly my time to play Hearthstone.
