In order to make use of my Voltron head I'm going to go with a freeze Mage variation with Milhouse, Loetheb, and Trogzor thrown in there. I need to craft the Trogzor but I've been saving dust for GvG legendaries. Tonight should be fun.
Why troggzor for a voltron deck? Just wondering. I would love to try it with rogue due to conceal, but no mimiron for me for now. Im saving dust till the meta stabilizes before i go crazy crafting stuff. Now that warrior is my current favorite class, i crafted juggernaught, and sadly, some pros are not happy with it, since meta is still aggro heavy. In a control vs control matchup though, juggernaught is really going to be good for fatigue wars.
Please do note, that based on someone else's testing that bouncing blade stops at 80 hits. I havent got the chance to get value out of it yet, but it sure would bbe fun with full health acole of pain and armorsmith.
Meh... Lost 6 games today (and i dont usually play more than 3 games each day) so im gonna call it a day. Mage played back to back portals to get that 4/4 ogre which he play in turn 3 together with another portal that gave him troggzor on turn 4. Portal's a pretty retarded card if you're at the receiving end of it. Played a control priest and he was losing as he had only one card in hand, but his next 4 draws were exact counters to what i was playing each turn. Played a paladin deathrattle aggro and all i had on hand were legendaries after my armorsmith and waraxe in the opening hand. Played a shaman who got the god draw and killed me in turn 4. Stupid RNG... wont touch hearthstone for a couple days to get the stress out. Never had been unlucky in plays like today.
Opened a good few packs and bagged me a few legends: Gahz'rilla Mal'Ganis Blingtron 3000 Troggzor Foe Reaper 4000 And I have enough dust for two more... but need to wait on those. I love the idea of Sneed and the Head. Not sure why Vol'jin is SO popular; is he REALLY that good? One card that just looks crazy good to me, that no one seems to be talking much about is Trade Prince Gallywix. Stealth him and you gain massive advantage! I've got no Bouncing Blades yet but sorely tempted. Their dual use of being able to kill minions and generate cards from Acolytes of Pain is just so sweet. But for now, like others, need to sit back and wait before deciding what new legendaries I should create! Jamie
I'm not crafting Troggzor to specifically pair it with Voltron's head. IMO Troggzor is the best new legendary. You can put it in any deck, and it will always make your opponent uncomfortable.
Voljin is popular due to the sheer value. I see priest running smite just to practically kill anything with voljin. Like ragnaros and other stuff which ends with you having a 5/x body for 5 mana. Nice one with Malganis, Trogg and Gahzrilla. Bouncing blades is currently not being utilized by the more popular warrior streamer i see on twitch. They still prefer BGH. I have one on mine though, just for the fun of it. Edit: agree with troggzor, really good especially on an empty board. Thinking of crafting him, but for now, im playing around with juggernaught, again, simply for the fun of seeing my opponent drawing a mine. Heh.
Bouncing blades has its uses... But more than one makes the extra copy hard to play. For one, it's got great synergy with Brawl. Much better than an owl which is the common combo with it. It's got moments with Sylvanas too, kinda like a mini brawl. Either would kill their minion, or kill sylvanas and you take their minion... But one that requires only 8-mana to pull off. One of its best uses though, is killing high health minions left soloing the board, mostly common in control vs control matches. Ysers, TBK, Ragnaros and Alexstraza are common targets, and even any lone stealthed minion will die to it. It's situational sure, but a situation not uncommon when using a control warrior deck. Or you can also play an Acolyte of pain on a clear board and hit it 3 times with Bouncing Blades.
I suck at this game still, I hate being bad. If someone has a similar deck to me then I will mostly win but I'm only rank 19 and keep getting enemies with piles of epics and legendaries and loads of good synergies in their decks....I've just got a bunch of random rubbish with very few synergies since I haven't really been playing long. Also I do feel like this game is stingy on in game cash 10 for 3 wins and 40g a day isn't much at all.
Maybe true, but at least as you keep playing you keep gaining cards. If you are worried about not getting enough synergy in the cards you currently have, play arena matches. Do a little bit of research on how to draft arena decks, and you'll do fine. The plus side is that everyone in the arena creates decks from random sets of cards so everyone has a shot at winning. At least 3 wins in the arena will break the cost even, and winning more than 3 times is already gold well spent. You get more cards and more gold faster this way.
I might try arena again next I have with my free turn. Why does the game mention expert packs? From what I've seen there are just normal or gvg packs?
There used to be BASIC cards (gained by leveling up) and the rest were all called EXPERT cards. Due to the release of extra G&G cards, the EXPERT cards were renamed to: CLASSIC.
Thank you, I kept wondering why is it talking about expert cards all I could see in the shop was the 1 deck to buy until the gvg. Started playing a few games a day now and my fiancée has even started playing just because she liked watching me play. Although I'm sad as she got better cards than me from her 3 gvg packs.
It takes forever to build up your collection. You need to clear your daily quests on a regular basis. If you do this you will earn enough gold to open about 3 packs a week. But there will come a time when you will have to decide how serious you want to get about this game. If you feel that this is a great game and you will continue to play it, then that's when it's time to drop some serious cash on a bunch of cards. Think about how much money you would spend on a AAA big budget video game. Then consider how much you play Hearthstone and how much you like Hearthstone. For me the decision was easy. I bought the biggest bundle of card packs available at the time. Then a month later I bought another. I've spent over $120 on this "free" game, and that's peanuts compared to other people I know. I think I'm about to spend another $30 on more GvG cards.
Woah... The underperforming Paladin suddenly became dominant coz of GvG. What a huge turn for Paladins.
