The nerfs are real! Buzzard and Leeroy will be changed. Personally I don't mind the changes on Leeroy but that buzzard nerf is out of proportion.
After reading the proposed nerfs, I feel the opposite. Considering that Mage has fireball, which costs 4 and does 6 damage, Leeroy seems perfectly balanced. He is a legendary after all. Shouldn't a legendary be more powerful than a spell? I will be dusting Mr Leeroy for Ragnaros after the nerf. Or should I choose Alexstraza?
Agreed. Blizzard forgets that the buzzard is only strong coz of one card. That doesnt make buzzard broken at all, does it? For a 3/2 bird at 5-cost doesnt replace itself at all, isnt worth it. Take Azure Drake to compare. With 5-cost, you get a 4/4 body on the board, a card draw that doesnt require anything else, and a +1 spell power bonus. The new buzzard for the same cost gives only a 3/2 body, card draw that requires another card to activate, which means buzzard doesnt replace itself on its own unless you play 2-hound UTH to get at least a 1-card advantage over Azure Drake's cantrip. The 3/2 body isnt worth playing on turn 5 too, coz he's just gonna get blown up before you get any value from it, means it's totally useless before turn 6 when you can at least follow it up with a webspinner or a timber wolf, which is unlikely coz you shouldve already cast the webspinner out earlier most likely, or you wont play the timber wolf without getting instant value like in combo with UTH. So IMO, blizzard made buzzard almost useless. The Leeroy nerf i think was necessary to delay OTK combos with bounce or with a buff and faceless. I didnt like my leeroy taking up 5-mana in the curve now especially since we have staples like sludge belchers, loatheb and spectral knights possibly fighting for that 5-cost spot. There are also staple class cards at 5 mana that adds to the curve balance. Nonetheless, if it means opening up new windows for new decks, then yeah, a 5-cost Leeroy it is. They did pretty harsh on the Buzzard though.
When a card gets changed, there will be a brief time that the dust value for disenchanting will be the same as its craft cost.
I think what Cagey75 meant is that if buzzard is a soulbound card, then you can't dust it. So we will all be stuck with the changes whether we like it or not. Maybe they'll make an exception with that card.
Finally got the 100 total wins for the 300 gold. Bought four packs and opened a double legendary pack. I've played this game for quite some time, but theses where the first two I got, aside from the spider (I can't remember the spelling of her name).
Aye, it's soulbound unfortunately. I highly doubt I'll ever use it again. 5 mana for a 3/2 is just ridiculous, even if it does draw a bunch of cards, it's going to be turn 8 now when you can do this with UTH. I'm only 30 wins off getting my Hunter golden, I'll get that out the way and probably dump it then. Not just because of this nerf, but Hunter lately has been a scourge and gotten a bad name, people presume you only play it because it's a little OP nowadays. But I started playing Hunter in Beta. I have a golden Druid - my most played class, so I'll be dusting that off once these nerfs kick in. Won't be so worried about miracles or hunters so much.
It does seem like 1/2 of my games are vs Hunters. For me, I shy away from playing hunter, not because I'm worried about what other people think of me, but because it's becoming spammy. Sometimes it seems like I'm playing against the same deck even though it's a different player. So yeah, playing as hunter kind of seems like a cop out. (for me, that is)
I finally hit level 20 ranked and I've been playing Mage, mostly because it was the starting character so I'm level 22 with her. I've faced mostly Warriors and very few Hunters.
Amazing! I guess that's why this game is so greatÂ… I personally (almost exclusively) see Warlocks (Zoolocks) and Paladin (zoo strategy) decksÂ… I hate zoo decks. But I love Hearthstone.
Yeah, I agree. Hearthstone is great. I play it more than any other game. I can't wait for them to nerf Leeroy. I'm going to trade up for a big finisher. Maybe Ragnaros, or another dragon.
I thought the nerf was going to happen on 9/22. I'll have to go check. ...ok, I just checked, and Leeroy has not yet been nerfed. As of 11:00 pm, pacific standard time.
It's almost midnight on 9/21. I decide to buy a pack with gold in the hopes of getting another Leeroy at the last second. I tap the first card and the barkeep yells "EPIC". I practically jump off the couch because I thought he was yelling legendary. Tap the second card... common. Tap the third... common. Tap the fourth "LEGENDARY". ...and that's how I got my second Hogger. Not my second Leeroy. I can't complain, though. That puts me very close to crafting my next Legendary. I love how Hearthstone brings out the gambler in me.
In my case, im waiting for the nerf, then change leeroy into sylvanas. Im considering playing Paladin post nerfs.
I don't, what are you on about? I just don't want to be one of the easy-route crowd. I can make it to rank 5 with my own decks, don't need to copy what all the sheep are doing.
