It doesn't work in Heroic 4 Horsemen =( Just tried it, the Equality gets auto-countered and Kel'Thuzad even says something to you directly about that card! You can use Mass Dispel (from Priest), but I haven't been able to beat it on Heroic yet. Also, I found the Warlock class challenge to be the least fun and most irritating one so far. =(
I'm enjoying the normal difficulty of this wing! It took me 3 tries to work out normal what's-his-name with the spectral knights.
I wish the normal mode was a little harder. Practically all of the bosses can be beat on the first try with a low budget aggro/rush Mage. On the other hand, the heroic mode is so difficult that it's not very fun for a guy like me who doesn't have too many legendary cards. Maybe I'll just force myself to use something other than Mage. The class challenges are super fun, but also very easy. I actually really like the Naxxramas expansion. Sorry to complain.
I just keep wondering if this is ever going to come to iPhone. I'd of thought blizzard would be pretty quick at it.
I actually like how it is balanced. The regular challenges let casual players still get the cards, while the heroic challenges pose a seemingly impossible challenge at first. You don't need legendary cards to beat them. My legendary's are high-cost and I'm usually dead by the time they would be useful. I haven't needed them to beat the heroic bosses.
Built my first frost mage deck and now everything seems broken and different. Don't like that deathrattle? lock it down with a freeze. High attack minion? lock it down with a freeze! Patchwerk smashing your face? You guessed it.
I'm thinking of disenchanting a few epics in order to craft Leroy Jenkins. I'm just worried that it might not be the wisest idea. I was thinking of DE Doomsayer and Mountain Giant. I don't use Doomsasyer, though I do see the potential of that card. But with Mountain Giant, I feel more justified. Whenever I've put it in a deck I've never been able to get a good trade out of it. Or I could just be patient. I will probably have enough dust from DE duplicates in a few weeks. Any advice would be appreciated.
It's been a fun ride for the past 5 weeks! Naxxramas wraps up its 5th and final wing tomorrow: The Frostwyrm Lair Unlockables: And the Paladin class card of course: The meta has been bonkers this month with Hunters undoubtedly taking the cake in terms of "ladder population" this month. Hopefully this will stabilize over the next few weeks.
@rawk i have leroy, and he is a lot of fun. cheap, strong and with charge. i wouldn't disenchant anything that you don't have the dupes for, you never know what deck you'll have to be using later. as for mountain giant, i usually get him out for 5 mana, you just got to be using the right deck. try with a priest draw deck. hes crazy good, and to see the whole board shake when you drop him on the fourth or fifth turn, priceless.
Ew... Turn 2 coin+Ooze+Blesing of might. Or make that turn 3 and add in a hand of protect Blessing of Kings, Cold Blood, Mark of the Wild, or even Defender of Argus gets so much value with the Ooze combo. I wonder how playable the ooze is going to be. I wonder if an Ooze played with Redemption can get a clone at the end of turn?
Why only 4 cards left to be had in Frostwyrm Lair? 1 for the Paladin challenge, 1 for the wing reward, and... Only 2 bosses? The last one had 4
Just over an hour left for EU! Can't wait to plow through this, get the new cardback and start build decks in what hopefully should be a stabilizing meta in the near future.
Well, I finally completed the expansion on normal. It took me about an hour and 45 minutes to beat the last two bosses and the Paladin class challenge. The first boss I beat in one go, using a Warrior deck loaded with Charge minions and a few Warror tricks. But that last boss was a PAIN. After trying out a few different Priest decks, I turned to a Paladin deck focused on healing, and after a handful of tries, finally beat that cheating jerk of a boss. The Paladin class challenge was a rematch with the last boss, which took a few tries to learn the deck and overcome the bosses tricks. In my opinion, it was easily one of the more challenging class challenges. So now with all expansion cards earned, I think I'll take my time with heroic. The expansion was well constructed, with some nice rewards, and was a nice diversion from online play. But it also reminded me that the heart of Hearthstone is in it's player vs. player matches.
I was thinking the same thing, but my guess is the over-powering nature of the cards and the last boss. But still.....I expected at least 5 this time.
