GRAAAAARGH#@$(*%@)&$^!@^#%&@^#^#!!!!!!!! I want to punch myself right now. I was playing against Heroic Maexxna using a custom mage freeze deck. I really have the game controlled (i have tons of armor thanks to 2 ice barriers, and an active ice block as well, and full life thanks to a bounced Earthen Ring Farseer) as i managed to clear Maexxna's board, and just wanted to draw my deck using bounced Novice Engineers for the Alexstraza, to be followed by Fireballx2 and a Frost Bolt which were already in my hand. I thought it was pretty funny that Alexstraza was the last card in my deck. When i drew the last card it was a second Earthen Ring Farseer which i never thought i had 2-of. I fkin forgot to put in Alexstraza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha... must have taken you a lot of time to get through that game! As of now, the Alexstraza/Freeze Mage combo deck seems to be the best way to clear Maexxna. I came up with a slightly different variation to speed up the entire match: Strategy: -2 pyros + endless spells to clean up all the junk spiders Luckily Maexxna (Heroic) is brainless and shoots your Pyro back to hand 100% of the time. -2 Vaporize - synergizes well with Wild Pyro. The AI, in my experience always made the WORST decisions when it came to Vaporize, ie: choosing to attack with their best minion! -1 Ironbeak Owl - useful early game (to silence spiders) OR late game if you don't get the lucky draw (vs. taunts / deathrattle minions) -2 Ice Barriers to delay damage early game. No Ice Blocks needed in this build. -2 Blizzards and 2 Flamestrikes to sweep out the trash -Alexstraza / Pyroblast / Fireballs = finishers
I can't believe how easy the class challenges were. First try for both. Even easier than the normal boss challenges.
Nice deck. I suggest you try out Novice engineers and Earthen Ring Farseers. Maexxna's ability will make an engine out of the engineer, and in the late game 2 farseers will keep you healthy if all the enemy has are 1-power minions on the board.
My only legendary is Maexxna. Does anybody have any suggestions or strategies for me to beat the heroic bosses? Thanks.
Here is a great guide with pretty basic decks, it helped me a lot! http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/567-the-arachnid-quarter-heroic-boss-deck-guides
Yeah I really want an iPhone port. Or even a port to Android tablets would suffice, because I have a Nexus 7. Any news?
Yeah, that's how I was feeling last night. With voodoo doctors and earthen ring farseers, I was able to keep my life up while controlling the board. I had been drawing a lot with the novice engineers, so burned thyrough my deck pretty quick. I was pretty excited when I got maexnaa down to 15 or so while I still had 20-something health. Then I drew my last card and ended up dying to fatigue a few turns later with maexnaa at 7 life... Ugh! I have to say this is a pretty fun boss fight though. The best one out of the arachnid wing. All the others I one-shotted except for the heroic grand widow, which took me two tries. I am really suprised at how easy they all were. I didn't even use a special deck until I got to heroic maexxna. Up until heroic maexxna, I used the same mage deck I use in play mode... Vovin's All-Around mage deck (posted on HearthPwn) with a few modifications.
Finally beat heroic maexxna. I was suffering from fatigue and one turn away from losing, but my trusty (well, maybe not so trusty) mad bomber pulled through and tossed a bomb on maexxna, bringing her down to one life. Had he not hit her, I wouldn't have been able to finish her off with a fireblast and I would have lost. It was a pretty fun match. I have to admit I was a little let down at not getting any reward like an achievement or something for beating all the heroic bosses. I thought there was supposed to be a card back or something, but perhaps that's for beating ALL of the heroic bosses, not just one wing.
To those who have not started Hearthstone and want to do so now for the expansion, do note that "Curse of Naxxramas is only accessible by players who have unlocked all 9 classes", so expect to play quite a bit before you can get the expansion.
I've been pulling out my hair trying to beat heroic Anub'rekhan (without looking at any tips). I finally got tired of making failed decks so I just tried my standard hunter deck. Beat him the first try. What the hell?
Here comes Naxxramas: Wing 2! No iPad app update needed - the second wing should already be unlocked in-game! The wing took me 2 hours to complete (ie: 3 bosses on Normal, 3 bosses on Heroic + 2 Hero challenges). I made it a point to build my own decks for added fun (instead of 'net decking')! The Heroic Bosses put up quite a fight and I had to tinker around with my decks to come through with Heroic wins. Though quite easy, I enjoyed the 'unique' Hunter hero challenge and the boss' mechanics this time around... was fun finding ways to work around them! Spoilers: Spoiler Token Druid / Freeze Mage / Aggro Priest worked well PS: If anyone on EU wants to play a few friendlies, feel free to hit me up on KineticBlur#1253
Seriously dude? Why would I take photos of myself playing the game, and/or lie about having already finished it? Heh... If you would have just made the effort to check Blizzard's posts on release dates/times (or just Google'd "Naxxramas" Wing 2 time, you'd save a lot of time for yourself by not having to debate it here un-necessarily.) Official Post: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/13594760064 Need more 'proof'? Head on over to reddit.com/r/hearthstone - you'll see plenty of people who've already finished Wing 2.
