Do you carry forward your stars from a season? What is the use of your 5 stars? Do you start the new season at a higher rank than 25?
Season started for me (EST, Americas). Oddly, I didn't get my new daily quest yet, BUT I was able to reroll my quest 20x till I got the 100! SOOO...look at whether you can keep rerolling your quest. If this was intentional by Blizzard, its a nice gimme to help one start the season in style.
Hmm, nice new red card back, rerollable dailies and a starting rank of 23. Got to give Blizzard their dues, they know how to keep a customer base happy!
Multiple cancelling of quests is a bug actually. But yeah, card back and rank jump is a good twist. I want the card back for season 2, much cooler!
Well it makes a very pleasant change to have a "good" bug for once! How can you see what the card back for season 2 will be? Also is there different card backs for different level finishes? Like top 20, 15, 10 etc?
You can see the next card back here: http://eu.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/13942453/hearthstone-ranked-play-season-2-brave-the-black-temple-01-05-2014 It also explains that there is a Legend card back, which I presume has the same unchanging look.
I just read it on hearthstone reddit. Looks like each month will feature a new card back. As long as you reach rank 20, you get the card back for that month. Reach legend, you get legend card back.
Well I feel kinda dumb right now! I'm in the process of leveling my Druid to 10, 3 other classes to go, and realize that when you add attack to your hero you actually take some damage back. Can't believe that never clicked until know, but that would explain why my health was lower in some other games than I though it should have been. I guess that also explains some of my Rogue losses with the Assassins blade. Guess I was damaging myself more than my opponent was in a few matches.
That's correct. When you use your Hero weapon to attack a minion, your hero will in turn sustain the damage received from it. New players begin with the Mage though, which has a spell-based attack. Hence she does not receive damage back, even when attacking minions. As a new player myself, I am making a conscious effort to keep track of my hero's health and enemy's health.
So I have over 100 dust now, and would like to know how you guys use it? Should I craft a very good rare card, or wait to have enough for an epic one? Any advice on the best neutral rares, some of the ones I already got are very useful (ancient watcher, sunfury protector, defender of argus, gadgetzan auctioneer). Also, just to confirm the seemingly obvious, there's no point in having more than 2 of any expert cards? And therefore I should dust the third of each I get?
Save the dust til you find a card you really want in your deck. and yes use the disenchant extra cards feature since there is no point in having more then the deck limit.
i would recomend using weapons towards minions as much as possible. Of course, taking that damage deep in the game may not be beneficial but from my understanding the majority of the weapons were intended to be used to trade out health for board control
Yes you do take damage. But the tempo it creates is very good for you. Example. Your opponent has a 2/1, as a Rogue, you weapon up and kill it. You take 2 damage, but you cleared the board. You end turn. On his turn, he drops another 2/1. On your turn, you hit it with hero weapon again, and you put something down. This gives you tempo or board control. While you did take 4 damage, his side is clear and you have a minion down. Unless you are struggling, keep it until you found a deck that you wish to stick with. For instance, I stick with Rogue and Druid and uses/crafts card that can be used by both. Depending on your deck, there are some must have neutral common crafts and rare crafts such as: Harvest Golem (40 dust) and Defender of Argus (100 dust). Again, depends on your main deck. EDIT: Example you are using a Druid. Druid of the claw is a must have and is only common. That would only take 80 dust and give your deck a good boost. I suggest posting your deck list or tell us the main hero that you are using. Yes dust the third one. Some people chose not to. Reason being, everytime a card is nerfed or changed, Blizzard gives us two weeks to be able to disenchant the nerfed cards for a full price. Example, a golden legendary can be disenchanted for 3600 dust if it was nerfed, compared to original 1600 dust if I am not mistaken. So some people choose to hold on to it. I highly doubt blizzard would be nerfing any card soon though.
I've had 2 instances where I casted divine shield on a minion, the minion died by itself at the end of the turn. Can someone explain why?
