Actually, I think the surest sign that the game isn't for me is that I'd rather spend my gold on packs than go into the arena. If I loved the idea of playing more to possibly win more, arena should be right up my alley. I keep trying to find the right competitive game, but I think I have to realize I just don't like competitive games.
Just saw the interview embedded on the latest article here at TA and the dev remarked that all features are available on all platforms, but i do not see how to chat and pass messages on the Ipad. I feel bad not able to say congrats to the winner or good game to someone i just beat. I must be blind or something, help please.....
You can only chat with people you have registered as a friend through battle.net. Otherwise you have to rely on the "Emote" system that can be accessed by tapping on your character when in a game. I believe this functionality is identical to the PC version as well.
Citronaut's post is correct. If you really want to chat with the ones you play, you have the option to add up the ones you are playing, and hope they accept.
From blizzcon, Pardo said the iPhone version together with the android version will be out on the 2nd half of this year
local multiplayer? How do you play a friend or say local online multiplayer with my son? I can't figure this out...
No local, but you can add your son's battletag when you tap the friends icon n the lower left. Youhave to add the whole tag "name#1234" once he accepts it, you'll be able to battle him by tapping the swords icon beside his name on you friend list. hope that helps.
Is this friend icon on the ipad app or online? I swear I have scoured over the ipad app and online looking for how to add him as a battle.net friend... I must be missing something. Found it. Thanks.
I havent played a ton yet, but when is a good time to start making own decks? And when should one start playing ranked?
I would suggest to bring each hero to level 10 first to unlock the basic cards. From there, try to focus on 1 to 2 hero that you think you will enjoy. Finish all the achievements first to earn gold. Do your first arena also. When you have chosen a hero or two, look for a good deck build. Try hearthstoneplayers.com From there, start crafting neutral cards. Neutral meaning any hero can use it. Don't bother with rank play as you really wont get anything from it. Getting from 25-20 is really easy though. Play unranked as it is easier, and play around with deckbuilds from the site I gave you.
I read that there is a card called "Flamestrike" for the Mage. Has it been removed? I can't see it even in the ALL cards view in Crafting mode.
That's cool. I wasn't sure if certain cards remained invisible till you unlocked something. I guess flamestrike must be there, and I just failed to spot it.
I have to say, even though I participated in the closed and open betas and then played this a lot when it came out, this has become my all time favorite and most used iPad mini. And that's within a week of it coming out. I give this all my heart love and recommendation! Will be trying to set up local Fireside Gatherings too as people out of us don't have any by blizzard
No problem. Good luck and have fun! You can't craft basic cards (hero specific). You need to level your hero to 10 so you can unlock all the basic cards for free. Then from 11-60 it is just golden cards of the same thing.
The more i play the more i consider Cairne to be the best value card i have. I have games where the opponent uses 4 cards to take him and Baine out, and it's not even uncommon. Sure Ragnaros and Grommash can potentially close games out on their own, but it is usually Cairne that paves the way for the finishers. Currently my favorite cards are Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Cairne Bloodhoof, and Fiery War Axe.
I've been trying to decide which Legendary I want to craft first and Cairne is definitely in the mix. The only legendary I've opened so far is Mukla and I'm not a huge fan. I may just disenchant for the dust.
